Smarttop Add-On Convertible Top Controller for Ferrari California Now Available SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller for Ferrari California now available Effective immediately the SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller made by Mods4cars is available for the Ferrari California. The Add-On module allows controlling the roof from a distance using just the original factory key remote. Additionally the top can be opened or closed with one-touch convenience using the console switch. Las Vegas, Nevada – March 29th, 2016 The SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller for Ferrari California is now available and in stock. The newest product made by aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars makes using the convertible top easier and more fun every day. “We are happy to be able to offer a convenient solution for the Ferrari California in addition to the ones we have for the Ferrari 360 and 430 Spider.” says PR- Manager Sven Tornow. The SmartTOP is a module that comes as part of an add-on Convertible Top Controller kit and can be installed by anyone. It allows owners to control their top from a distance by just using the original key fob remote. A quick sequence of key presses triggers a full automatic top operation. “The top can be opened while still approaching the car. In the opposite case it can be closed quickly at the first sign of impending rainfall, with no need to get inside and turn the ignition on.” Sven Tornow continues. Neither the original key remotes nor any of the car’s safety systems need to be modified. Additionally, when inside, the top can be opened or closed conveniently with a quick tap on the console switch. It is no longer necessary to hold down the switch for the entire duration of the operation. “This saves time, as the SmartTOP customer can touch the switch, turn the ignition off, get out and lock the car, while the top continues to close by itself.” Sven Tornow explains. It is possible to program the desired position of the windows after opening the top. Selections include all windows down, front windows up and all windows up. The windows can also be controlled from the remote fob, separately from the top. By factory default the two small rear windows are permanently in the down position as long as the convertible top is open. One of the SmartTOP features now allows them to be raised. The car owner can decide if he wants all four windows to come up after opening the top for a better wind protection while driving at higher speeds. It also improves on the overall look of the California with top down: Raising all windows gives the Ferrari a more refined and complete look. An extended mode can be activated, which allows the engine to be started or stopped while a top operation continues. All features can be individually programmed. The module comes with built-in USB port and support software for Windows and Mac as well as firmware updates for all products are available online, free of charge. The module’s functions can also be programmed in the car with a sequence of keypresses. The kit comes complete with a plug-and-play wiring adapter for extremely easy installation. Connecting the module to the car electronics is done by simply plugging in a few connectors. No wires need to be cut or spliced into, thereby leaving absolutely no damage and allowing for an easy removal, if needed. Since 2002 Mods4cars has been offering the smart Convertible Top Modules. The Ferrari Club of America celebrating our 50th Anniversary, Ferrari Passione, and our Region hosting the International FCA Event in Palm Springs October 1 0–14, 2012. I am a proud, original owner, of a red, 1998 355GTS. I enjoy tracking, rallying, and showing my car. I’ve participated in four International FCA Events including Monterey ’04, Indy ’05, Watkins Glen ’07 and Road America ’09. My car has won three Platinum Awards and one Gold Award as well as three Coppa Bella Machinas. The International FCA Events are a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow Ferrari enthusiasts from all over the world. You also get a chance to work on your car and get it ready to be shown in the Concours if you choose. If you have never shown your car it is a delightful learning experience. We plan on having a seminar in the near future to educate our members on what the judges are looking October –December 2011 for and how points are deducted. Enzo-era cars are generally in higher demand and are also considered to be more valuable than the models produced subsequently. Eligibility Requirements a) This promotion entitles Customers to the following: (i) with a minimum purchase of one (1) Shell Helix HX7 4L or Shell Helix High Mileage 4L in one (1) single receipt, a Customer will be entitled to one (1) free Ferrari toy car (any of the five (5) models as defined in Clause 4(a)(iii)) with casing; or (ii) with a minimum purchase of one (1) Shell Helix Ultra 4L in one (1) single receipt, a Customer will be entitled to two (2) free Ferrari toy cars (any of the five (5) models as defined in Clause 4(a)(iii)) with casing; or (iii) with a minimum purchase of two (2) Shell Helix Ultra 4L in one (1) single receipt, a Customer will be entitled to one (1) set of all five (5) models of the Ferrari toy cars (i.e. Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Ferrari California, Ferrari La Ferrari, Ferrari 599XX and Ferrari Enzo) with casing.
