BOISE STATE HOSTS 2012 PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIPS The 50th annual Pac-12 Conference Wrestling Championships hosted by Boise State will be held at Taco Bell Arena on Sun., Feb. 26. Individual Conference titles in 10 weight classes and the overall team title will be up for grabs at the one-day tournament. The Championships are divided into two sessions, culminating with the !nals matches Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. MT. Session I begins at 11 a.m. MT. The Broncos are the defending Conference champions and have won three of the past four Conference titles. Fourteen individuals are nationally ranked in their respective weight classes in the InterMat Top-20, including Stanford’s Nick Amuchastegui, who is the top-ranked 174-pounder in the country. Oregon State enters the competition ranked 16th nation- ally by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

PAC-12 WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS // February 23, 2011 3 2011 PAC-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS RECAP

BOISE STATE won its sixth Pac-10 Wrestling Championship and the third in the last four years by outdistancing second-place OREGON STATE, 147.0-137.5. The sixth-ranked Broncos claimed four individual titles to hold off the host Beavers in Gill Coliseum. ARIZONA STATE’S Anthony Robles was named Most Outstanding Wrestler for the tournament. Robles won his third consecutive Pac-10 Championship at 125 pounds with a 14-4 decision over Jason Lara from Oregon State. The Tempe, Ariz., native won all three of his matches in the tournament by a combined score of 46-5.

Arizona State swept the Conference year-end awards, with Anthony Robles as Wrestler of the Year, Shawn Charles as Coach of the Year and Bubba Jenkins as Freshman/Newcomer of the Year.
