PAGE 1/4 BIOGRAPHY The Lion roars again - The Narnia story so far… the first 20 years. Vocalist Christian Liljegren and guitarist CJ Grimmark met for the first time in 1993, in Jönköping - a town in the south of Sweden. At this time Christian and his band Modest Attraction were just about to release their first album, The Truth in Your Face, and CJ was active as bandleader, vocalist & guitarist in a local band called Sentinel. They remained in steady contact during the years that followed. In 1996 Modest Attraction released its second album Divine Luxury. At that time Liljegren phoned Grimmark and asked him whether he was interested in working together on a musical vision Liljegren had in mind. Since the late 80´s Christian had had a huge passion for bombastic, melodic, neoclassical hard rock & heavy metal, which he was not able to explore in the band Modest Attraction. CJ was instantly interested. After having seen the animated movie about the The Witch & The Lion, Christian figured “Narnia” would be great name for the new band. A few months later, as Modest Attraction guitarist Stephan Mohlin had to turn down a German tour for personal reasons, Christian phoned CJ and asked him to temporarily replace Stephan, which he did. Stephan soon left the band all together, and Grimmark was asked to become a full-time band member. Grimmark accepted. During the time with Modest Attraction Liljegren and Grimmark kept working on their vision of the new band. They took a few old songs from Borderline, Modest Attraction & Sentinel, altered them to their own preferences, and added a couple of new songs.

Band: Morning Dwell (SWE) Genre: Power Metal Label: Doolittle Group / GMR/Bertus Albumtitle: Morning Dwell Duration: 50:33 Releasedate: 02.04.2014 Power Metal from Sweden with a high voice, keyboards and a cover artwork oriented on Running Wild, brings the perfect requirement to know, what kind of band this is. But if you take your time and get more into the album you will find it not so easy to put a label on them. The style of the band is in a way like some more known bands like Hammerfall or the old Stratovarius. The difference is that Morning Dwell plays faster the most time. The band really trys to be varied over the album. You can see that especially on the fact that they try to give the songs a different direction, so that you can't expect how the next song will sound like. The band is missing an own identity, but to be fair it's the debut of a new band, so we can overlook this minor downside. All songs are wrote by singer Petter Hjerpe who also recorded a demo 2013, where he played all instruments by himself. By this time the most songs were already 10 years old. That means that the album was not rushed unlike many other new bands. One big point to criticise is the keyboard, which doesn't sound like it should be there. It doesn't play stand alone parts, it only provides basic tones to complete the atmosphere. It appears to be unnecessary, because of the two guitars playing.

Svenska Hårdrocksrebeller Firar 20-Årsjubileum Med Unik Champagne
PRESSRELEASE 2017-11-29 Svenska hårdrocksrebeller firar 20-årsjubileum med unik Champagne I år har det gått 20 år sedan Hammerfalls debut Glory to the Brave exploderade på den internationella hårdrocksscenen. Detta ska givetvis firas – med en dryck av absolut högsta kvalitet. Nu lanserar Sveriges heavy metal-kungar en Champagne som är lika tidlös och klassisk som sin musik. Det svensk-franska Champagnehuset Hatt et Söner har aldrig varit främmande för att ge sig ut på outforskad mark. Liksom Hammerfall har de valt att gå sin egen väg utan att oroa sig för vad som anses trendigt för tillfälligt. Därför har det sin naturliga förklaring att samarbetet föll på just Hatt et Söner, förklarar Hammerfalls sångare Joacim Cans. – De är rebeller, precis som oss, om än på ett annat sätt. Vi var rebeller inom hårdrocken när vi startade och de har samma roll när det gäller att ta fram Champagne. De följer reglerna, men vågar också ifrågasätta och skapar sina egna trender, säger han. Efter åtskilliga besök hos Hatt et Söner i Champagne har sångaren nu återvänt med en unik dryck som släpps i en begränsad upplaga på 1900 flaskor. Det här är bubblor som sätter hårdrockshjärtan i brand och som skapats för alla oss som vill få samma kick av det vi har i glaset som vi får av ett riktigt bra gitarriff. Och visst går det att se tydliga likheter mellan den svenska musikexporten och den ädlaste av drycker. Som Joacim säger när det gäller sabrering, ”vad kan vara mer metal än att öppna en flaska med ett svärd?” Men det finns fler beröringspunkter.
