OUT OF THE BOX -- MVC NOTES LARRISON SELECTED IN 2018 MLB DRAFT Right-hander Ethan Larrison was selected in the 16th round (Pick: 489) of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. From a walk-on to the Sycamore baseball program to a four-year letterwinner, Larrison marks the 10th Indiana State baseball player selected in the draft under head coach Mitch Hannahs. A Shelbyville, Indiana native, Larrison led the Missouri Valley Conference in saves with nine on the year. His 10 career saves, places him tied for eighth in program history. Larrison made 25 appearances out of the bullpen for ISU this season recording three wins and striking out 50 opponents. TRIO OF SWEEPS DBU, Indiana State and Illinois State all started the season with three-game sweeps over the opening weekend. As a league, The Valley went 15-8 (.652) overall during the opening weekend, posting the seventh-best win percentage nationally.
