Dated.25/5/95 4.Executive Engineer,TUDA, U.O.Note dt 8/4/94 ORDER Vide reference 3rd cited V. Balakrishna Reddy and Others has/have requested for final confirmation orders of Layout in Sy.no.(s) .63/4,64/2,3 & 4 of Akkarampalle village , having an extent of 3.550 acres. The matter has been examined and this Authority hereby approves the final confirmation of layout under section 14 of Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975. subject to the following conditions. 1. Every building site shown in the sanctioned L.P.No. 41/G1/ 92 shall be utilized for the construction of dwelling house only, and no shop, godown or any other building which is not ordinarily connected with dwelling house shall be constructed in the site. No building shall be converted to any other use other than to which it has been permitted for. 2. The Building line and the street boundary for the respective streets shall be adopted as shown in the sanctioned L.P.no. 41 /G1/ 92 3. All house sullage shall be disposed off in such a manner so as to prevent it from running into or stagnating on adjacent street. 4. The owners shall have to make their own arrangements for provision of water supply, street lighting and storm water drainage. 5. Sub- division of plots other than indicated in the sanctioned L.P.No. 41/G1/ 92 shall not be permitted. 6.The owners of the layout shall have to deposit an amount of Rs. 1,83,000/- (Rupees One lakh Eighty three thousand only ) to Tirupati Urban Development Authority towards external development charges in the event, the Government cofram the order in W.P.No.15699/86. file by the real estatement association is decided infavour of this authority. 7. Rupees 11,806/- towards the cost of Avenue plantation is deducted from the security deposit paid by the application not providing the same in the layout as per the condition. TIRUPATI CITY WITH MANY SLUMS ; AN ILL HEALTH ENVIRONMENT TO THE PILIGIRIM CENTRE Dr. K. Krishnaiah Associate Professor, Department of Geography, S.V.University, Tirupati- 517 502 Abstract Industrialisation results in increasing urbanization. The accumulation of wealth and availability of more economic and job opportunities in the urban centres have resulted in the concentration of the population in the congested metropolitan areas and thus the formation and growth of big slum areas. These slum centres, when combined with industrial sectors, become more hazardous from the stand point of environmental degradation and pollution. If these slum centres are many, it is hazardous and causes ill health to the city like Tirupati, an important piligrim centre in the country. In the present study the emphasis was on the ratio of the total number of slums. 42 were identified in the small area 0.715 sq. km as per 2001 census in Tirupati. The author makes a caution that the higher the density of slums in the pilgrim centre, the more will be the ill health environment in terms of spread of diseases. Introduction The phenomenon of rapid urbanization in conjunction with industrialization has resulted in the growth of slums. The sprouting of slums occur due to many factors, such as the shortage of developed land for housing, the high prices of land beyond the reach of urban poor, and a large influx of rural migrants to the cities in search of jobs etc.

    Kosalanagaram Industrial Park Brief Summary Government of Andhra Pradesh accords top priority to industrial development to make Andhra Pradesh a progressive and highly industrialized state, a State that is a centre of technology and innovation and a joyous population confident of its bright future. In this regard, Industrial Development Policy (IDP) 2015-20 has been prepared to make Andhra Pradesh most preferred destination for investors by providing favourable business climate, excellent infrastructure, good law and order and peaceful industrial relations. The new industrial policy also focuses on creating a conducive ecosystem which makes industries based in Andhra Pradesh innovative and globally competitive. The Economic Development Board (EDB) had identified Five Focus Sectors in Chittoor District as ideal investment destination to investors namely Automobile and Auto Components, Heavy and Light Engineering, Agro and Food Processing, Electrical and IT, Textile and Apparels with the expected Sector wise Gross District Domestic Product (GDDP) of ₹34,742 crore. In line with the identified Focus sectors of Chittoor District, APIIC propose to develop Kosalanagaram Industrial Park in an area of 2300 acres (930.7 ha) on Work, Live and Learn concept focusing on Automobile and Auto Components & Engineering sectors. The proposed project will pave way for rapid consolidation of industrialisation in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. Kosalanagaram I.P is well connected with three major cities namely Chennai, Chittoor and Tirupati.
