Join us in the beautiful coastal town of Hervey Bay to discover the whales, wilderness and much more. View these magnificent creatures up close and personal on a whale watching cruise. Experience a full day of 4WD exploring on the magnificent World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. Enjoy a short walk at Cania Gorge with its towering cliffs, ancient caves and sheltered gorges. Take a guided nature walk discovering the flora and fauna of beautiful Carnarvon Gorge. Return from your holiday refreshed and reunited with nature.

DAY 1 – HERVEY BAY D Thursday, 21st July: An early departure for our Brisbane passengers as we make our way northward. Caboolture and Sunshine Coast passengers join enroute. Arrive in Maryborough for some free time to purchase lunch and enjoy a wander through the Heritage Markets then on to Hervey Bay to board the Tasman Venture for a whale-watching cruise. There is nothing quite like getting up close and personal with one of the ocean’s most majestic creatures. Following our amazing whale encounter settle into our accommodation. DAY 2 FRASER ISLAND DAY TOUR BLD Friday, 22nd July: Tick Fraser Island off your bucket list after this fabulous tour. The itinerary includes Lake Mackenzie, Central Station, 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek, S.S. Maheno Shipwreck and The Pinnacles Coloured Sands plus expert tour commentary about the island’s World Heritage-listed ecology, wildlife, history and local stories from behind the scenes. After a wonderful day of sightseeing return to our accommodation.

DAY 3 HERVEY BAY – CANIA GORGE – BMLD Saturday, 23rd July: Bidding farewell to Hervey Bay, make our way to Mt Perry once a thriving and prosperous copper mining town. Today it is a tiny and quiet little settlement nestled under Mount Perry. After morning tea, continue to Cania Gorge for a delicious picnic lunch and time for a short walk. Arrive in Biloela late afternoon. Stay Silo Motor Inn

DAY 4 BILOELA – BMD Sunday, 24th July: Our first stop this morning is at the Blackwater International Coal Mining Centre for morning tea and a wander through the museum. At Emerald, enjoy some free time to purchase lunch before heading to Rubyvale to the Miner’s Heritage Walk-In Mine for an underground sapphire mine tour. After your tour, try your hand at fossicking through a bucket of wash directly from the mine and take the opportunity to browse the showroom with its range of Australian sapphire jewellery. DAY 5 SPRINGSURE – CARNARVON GORGE – ROMA BMLD Monday, 25th July: Away early today for our guided lower gorge tour at Carnarvon Gorge. The walk to the Moss Garden has some of Carnarvon’s classic views. As you approach the mouth of Violet Gorge, the cliffs start to close in around you, towering above ancient palms and multiple creeks. Moisture drips constantly from the sandstone walls of Moss Garden, supporting a lush carpet of mosses, ferns, and liverworts. Beneath tree ferns straining for sunlight, a small waterfall tumbles over a rock ledge into an icy pool. Enjoy a picnic lunch among the ferns before returning to our coach for our journey to Roma. DAY 6 ROMA – HOME BM Tuesday, 26th July: We bid goodbye to Roma this morning as we make our way to Brisbane, arriving mid-afternoon and in the Wide Bay early evening.
