The fourth annual Camel City Elite will take place January 30, 2016 and is the third prong in Winston-Salem’s professional sports scene, along with the Winston-Salem Open and Winston-Salem Cycling Classic. Camel City Elite has local, regional and national audiences. The college portion of the meet typically features schools from NC, SC, VA, GA, TN, FL, etc. With the professional fields assembled, Camel City Elite will get national media attention from Track and Field News, Runner’s World, LetsRun.com, etc. Starting as a single race in 2013, Camel City Elite has quickly become one of the premier indoor track and field events in the United States. In 2014, 2x Olympian and World Champs Silver Medalist competed at JDL Fast Track. In 2015, we added 8 Olympians, including silver medalists Jason Richardson and Leo Manzano. They were joined by 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and 2013 World Champion David Oliver, as well as Olympians Morgan Uceny, , Dwight Thomas, Bershawn Jackson and Geena Lara.
