Spring/Summer 2009 Winter 2013/2014 Dear Canadian Ski Council Lift Pass Purchaser; We are proud to announce our 23rd season of our Discount Lift Pass Program. The Canadian Ski Council (CSC) is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to introduce more people to the healthy lifestyle of skiing and snowboarding. The Lift Pass Program offers a limited opportunity for skiers and riders to purchase ski/snowboard lift passes at a substantially reduced price that are usable any time. Funds raised through the Lift Pass Program are used by the Canadian Ski Council for future skier/snowboarder development and research programs in Canada. We wish to thank all of the participating Canadian ski areas for their generous contributions made to our skier/snowboarder development programs. The passes are all purchased in a group of 20 lift passes and are an exceptional value. These passes are priced significantly lower than the cost of a day pass or group discount package at participating ski areas. The lift passes can be used weekdays, weekends and holidays across Canada. If any participating ski area has any blackouts or restrictions, you will be advised as the ski areas have the option of including certain restrictions and/or black outs. The passes may be used individually and/or divided and used by family members, friends and/or colleagues. The lift pass book is ideal for gifts, bonuses and business incentives. Skiers/snowboarders can use all the passes at their favourite ski area but are encouraged to try several of the other participating resorts. To-date, 138 ski/snowboard areas have signed-up to participate in the CSC Lift pass program and will accept the passes during the 2013/2014 winter season. We are expecting many more ski areas to sign up over the next couple of months with a total of approximately 150 ski areas. If you do not see your favourite ski area listed and you would like to see if the ski area you are interested in visiting has been added to the program, please visit our web site www.skicanada.org in our news section or please contact Liette or one of our staff at our office at (705) 445-9140 or by email at llehouiller@skicanada.org. Please note: • It is of vital importance that you read the mandatory rules and regulations pages at the end of this document before proceeding with your purchase order. • There is a limit of (4) lift pass packages of 20 passes in each package; 80 passes per household/business for all lift pass packages. • The Lift Pass Program still remains the best ski/snowboard deal in the country. Because these passes are sold at significantly lower rates than the participating ski areas’ rate, they will sell-out very quickly. Lift pass sales will be advertised in our newsletter and available to the general public with the number of passes to be sold limited. We encourage you to place your order with the CSC as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Remember, most or all of the passes, in some or all categories will be sold out by August 2013. • The Canadian Ski Council is not responsible for lost, stolen or unused passes due to inclement weather, injury or medical conditions - there will absolutely be no refunds, exchanges or replacements. • Orders accompanied by post-dated cheques will not be accepted. • If you are not paying by VISA or MasterCard, it is recommended that you courier your cheque and order form as it ensures that your cheque or money order will arrive at our office safely and guarantees your purchase. • Passes will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis (in order of when cheques / credit cards purchases are received at the CSC office) or until the limited number of passes we are authorized to sell are sold out. If you submit a lift pass order after the passes have been sold out, your order will be returned to you with your payment. Your lift passes and a detailed list of participating ski areas will be sent to you by Xpresspost in advance of the 2013/14 ski season. • For any ski area marked with a (*) please phone ahead to make a reservation to book your lift ticket • Please note that these passes cannot be resold for any reason. If you or your guest are caught reselling your passes in ski area parking lots, on the internet (Kijiji, Ebay, Craigslist etc) or anywhere else, the ski area has the right to confiscate the passes and take legal action if necessary. As well, the CSC will de-activate the remaining passes and blacklist the purchaser from purchasing in the future. Thanks and have a great summer and think SNOW!
