Toyo Tires® Partners with Stadium SUPER Trucks
March 26, 2015 Toyo Tires® ‘All or Nothing’ as the Official Tire of SPEED® Energy Formula Off-Road for 2015 CYPRESS, CA – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp continues with the ‘All or Nothing’ mantra as they announce that Toyo Tires® will be the Official Tire of SPEED® Energy Formula Off-Road for 2015. This marks the third season that Toyo Tires has supported the series, and the second year that all Stadium SUPER Trucks™ (SST) will compete on Toyo® Open Country® A/T II tires. Toyo Open Country tires are known for their traction, durability, and uniformity, all critical to the performance of the 600-plus horsepower SST trucks. The race series was founded by Team Toyo® off-road champion, and former NASCAR® and IndyCar® driver, Robby Gordon. A field of identically prepared SST trucks tackle a serpentine race course with ramp jumps that can launch them 20 feet in the air. Intense action, combined with speeds as high as 130-mph, keep spectators on the edges of their seats. “The Toyo Open Country A/T II is a great fit as the spec tire for the SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road series and demonstrates race after race the performance, consistency and durability known by light truck enthusiasts,” said Amy Coleman, senior director of marketing, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Just as important, the series and drivers truly represent our brand’s ‘All or Nothing’ attitude, and provide a new and exciting platform to reach race fans around the world.” “Toyo Tires continues to be a great partner for Stadium Super Trucks and our entire off-road racing program,” said SST founder and president Robby Gordon. -

As a result, all Stadium Super Trucks (SST) running in the series will compete on Toyo® Open Country® A/T II tires. Toyo Open Country tires are known for their traction, durability, and uniformity. These qualities provide racers with sure footing for maximum performance, while the introduction of a spec tire further evens the competitive field. The series was founded by former NASCAR® and IndyCar® driver Robby Gordon, who is also an off- road champion and long-time Team Toyo® driver. The 600-plus horsepower SST trucks tackle a serpentine race course with ramp jumps that can launch them 20 feet in the air. Speeds can reach as high as 130-mph, making for a true spectacle to excite the fans. This marks an expanded partnership between the two organizations as Toyo Tires supported the then Stadium SUPER Trucks™ in its inaugural season last year and celebrated winning the overall championship with Gordon. “Toyo Tires is both excited and proud to be the exclusive tire selected by Robby Gordon for the 2014 SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road series,” said Amy Coleman, senior director of marketing, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “By winning the inaugural Stadium SUPER Truck championship last year, we have proven that Toyo Open Country tires are up to the task of being the spec tire of this exciting series.” “Toyo Tires has been a partner of Formula Off-Road since its inception,” said Gordon, “and we are obviously grateful for their support, but more importantly the tires they provide our competitors are extremely reliable and fit the series perfectly. -
