TODAY’S PROBABLE PITCHERS LHP Alex Wood last appeared on March 12 against the White Sox when he went 3.0 innings, gave up three hits, one run and struck out three. The lefty enters his third season with the Dodgers after appearing in just 14 games (10 starts) last year due to a left elbow impingement. Despite a 3.73 ERA, Wood went just 1-4, while limiting opposing hitters to a .245 batting average with 66 against just 20 walks in 60.1 innings. After his lengthy DL stint, Wood returned to the active roster as a reliever on Sept. 19 and was on the Dodgers’ NLCS roster vs. the Cubs.

LHP Luis Avilan earned his second consecutive win of the spring on March 14 when he pitched 0.1 inning and struck out one against the Reds. He enters his sixth MLB season and third with the Dodgers. The lefty reliever has a 15-6 career record with a 2.98 ERA in 268 career relief appearances between Atlanta (2012-2015) and the Dodgers (2015-2016).

RHP Steve Geltz continued his impressive spring on March 14 when he pitched 1.0 hitless inning and struck out one against the Reds.
