Lors de ses études, il a joué pour l’équipe de basketball de l’Université de Donetsk. En 2013, il devient le Président de l’AS Monaco Basket alors que l’équipe évolue en NM1 (3ème division nationale). La saison suivante, les Monégasques remportent la NM1, accédant à la Pro B puis l’année d’après directement à la Pro A. Lors de sa première année dans l’élite, la Roca Team remporte la phase régulière de la Pro A, atteint les demi-finales des play-offs et sa première Leaders Cup. Grâce à son investissement, la Roca Team a réalisé une saison remarquable l’année dernière, atteignant les finales des play-offs du Championnat de France et le Top 16 de l’EuroCup.
