Liberty Communications Security Options Internet Security is not an option – it’s a requirement! Everyone must do their part to protect computers from Internet threats. Failure to keep your computer clean can negatively impact other users on the Liberty Communications network. If we detect a compromised computer, the Internet account will immediately be shut down until the computer is cleaned and fully protected. You need to take action to ensure your computer is protected as soon as possible. Following are some recommendations. Download and install programs to protect your PC. Customers must manually install and maintain these programs for ongoing protection. Enable a Firewall. This will provide protection against unwanted access to your computer. Install an anti virus program. Be sure the program is set to update virus definitions on a daily basis. Install anti-spyware software. These programs are designed to check for programs (malware) that run in the background on your machine, affecting your computer's performance as well as the whole network. We recommended you download and use Mozilla's Firefox browser, in place of Internet Explorer. Use this link www.mozilla.org/products for free web browser and email programs.
