GREEK MAN & WOMAN OF THE YEAR Congratulations to your 2019 Greek Man and Woman of the Year, Austin Cole Carter and Danielle Stephenson!

Cole Carter, junior, currently serves as the President of . He was also recently elected to serve as the 2019-2020 Interfraternity Council President. Cole's past positions have included Recruitment Chair and COE Chair for IFC. He was also awarded an MVP award as a new member and has been involved with Program Board, Shepherd Springs, and the American Red Cross Blood Drive.

Danielle Stephenson, senior, currently serves on 's executive board as their Vice President of Programs. Recently, Danielle was elected to serve as the 2019-2020 Panhellenic Council President. In addition to fraternity and sorority life, Danielle served as the 2018-2019 SGA President, and she will be returning to SGA as the Vice President. Additionally, Danielle was recently crowned Miss Jefferson County 2019, advocating for her platform "Too Smart to Start: Adolescent Drug Use in West Virginia." PHILANTHROPY SHOWCASE

CHAPTER OF THE YEAR: SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA

Sigma Sigma Sigma was named Chapter of the Year for the 2018-2019 academic year and recognized for having the highest new member GPA, most amount raised for philanthropy, most hours of community service served, and ultimately achieving Gold Standard in the Chapter of Excellence Accreditation Program! MEMBERS OF THE MONTH RAM BAND CO-DRUM MAJORS Paul Hann, Jr., Phi Mu Alpha, is a junior Music Education K-12 major. This will be his third year in Ram Band. Paul additionally serves as the President for Phi Mu Alpha. “Being in Phi Mu Alpha gave me the confidence and support to try out for drum major as a freshman. Drum major is a really intensive position. I get to help lead the show and all aspects that go into it. Ram Band is a not just a band—we are a Ramily. I am looking forward to serving my second term as drum major with Delta Zeta's own Hailee Whittington. #GRB”

Hailee Whittington, Delta Zeta, is a sophomore majoring in Psychology with a minor in Biology. “This is my second season as a member of the Ram Band, and 6th year of marching band. I have been an instrumentalist for 10 years. This will be my second year serving as a Drum Major, but my first as a co-Drum Major for Shepherd. I’m extremely thankful for all of the opportunities I have been given within my first year at Shepherd. I am very excited to see what this season brings! Go Ram Band! “

SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA REGIONAL CONSULTANT Greysen Lingg, Sigma Sigma Sigma Alumna, has accepted a position as a 2019-2020 Regional Consultant for Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority where she will travel around the country helping other chapters to thrive! IKENBERRY AWARD WINNER Alyssa Roush, Delta Zeta Alumna, received the Dr. Oliver S. Ikenberry Award for Human Service. A $250 cash award goes to one female and one male graduating student for exemplary human service to Shepherd as evidenced by campus leadership, community service, and overall achievement.
