Personal Data/Education Born in Bucchianico (Chieti-Italy) the 10/11/1952. Completed High School Graduation (Liceo Scientifico) in Pescara-Italy (1971) Married from 1978 - 1 son in 1979. University Degree in “Aeronautical Sciences” from University of Naples-Italy (1974).
Military background In 1971, admitted in the Italian Air Force Accademy in Naples (4 years, which included a two-year course in engineering). During the service: Officer and Pilot for almost 20 year, accomplished Staff College in Florence (2 years), Instructor course, Flight Safety Course for Squadron Commander. During the assignement at RAF Cottesmore/Leistershire-UK as a Tornado Instructor, from 1984 to 1987, Flight Safety Course at RAF Ispectorate of Flight Safety - London. Squadron Commander of the 156 sq. in 1989. Appointed in 1989 the Honour of “Knight of the Italian Republic” for meritorious service by the President of the Italian Republic. Left the service as Lieutenant Colonel in January 1991.
