Lake Victoria The second largest fresh water lake in the world beckons you. The lake’s expanse will leave you mesmerized by its size and beauty. Situated at Kenya’s Western frontier, the forms a natural boundary between Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. It is twice the size of Wales and

sources its water from river Nile. The mighty body of water is rich in fish life, with shimmering shoals of colourful cichlids, tilapia and large Nile Perch. Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Kisumu Impala Sanctuary an idyllic place to let your line of vision traverse around and witness all that this region has to offer. The sanctuary is a breeding ground of impalas, Antelope, one can also spot the big cats like, buffaloes, giraffes and cheetah’s and several primate species.

The sanctuary came into being in the year 1980, as home for a herd of homeless Impalas who were found in the neighboring area.

Sit at the campsite to be greeted with spectacular views, of . Dotting the area are five campsites you could lodge in during your time at the sanctuary. Apart from reveling in the scenery, you could perhaps also engage in bird watching, go on long nature walks or preview the underwater world with the aid of a glass bottomed boat. Retrace West Kenya’s History | Kisumu Museum This museum is perched in the town of Kisumu, along the Kericho highway. The museum has been feeding the masses with information since the year 1980. The contents of this museum impart knowledge on issues of cultural and scientific importance, and its visitors will get in depth information on Western Kenya. The museum also does its bit in serving the community, by offering educating students studying in neighborhood schools.

A hub for activities | Dunga Bay Those adventure and nature lovers will find just the thing they are looking for in Dunga Bay. The area will keep you engaged with a range of activities like fishing, hippo hunting and bird watching.

Jagged Rock Wonders | Kit Mikayi Kit Mikayi, a series of 3 rocks piled up one above the other. It is geographically located off the Kisumu Bondo road, towards Bondo, it stands out in the midst of other rocks in the Kangeso Village.

Luo folklore, goes on to say its name was coined as Kit Mayi after the Mother of the tribe, who found a place to rest by the Nedre Island. Kenya’s smallest game reserve beguiled her with its charm after her tedious journey down the South of Nile, and hence she set up her base there to never return back from the place.

Rocks cut to perfection | Soapstone Carvings The soapstone carvings of Kenya with their intrinsic beauty will catch your eye and leave you charmed. Apart from the regular soapstone, it is the Kisi stone that is coveted by one and all.

The Kisi stone got its name from the Kisi people, residing in the Tabaka Hills in Western Kenya, the only place on the horizon where the rock is found. The rock is metamorphic in nature and comes with mineral talc.

Cocooned in nature’s wonders | Kakamega Forests , encapsulates the central African rainforest in its dimensions. Tangled in the canopy of the dense forest, the forest is home to bush pigs, giant forest hedgehogs, colobus monkeys, debrazzar monkeys and pottos.

A haven for agriculturists | Kericho Tea Tours Sprawled across the Western highlands is the tiny town of Kericho. Wetted with daily showers, it is Kenya’s most fertile space. The slopes trickling from the area are abundant tea growing regions. Tea Corporations set up their base here as early as 1950.

Going by the regularity and perfectly timed daily showers, tea settlers go on to claim that one could set their clocks in accordance with the daily downpour.
