3 Nights 4 Days Exclusive Tour ‘Sunderban Tiger Camp’ is an escapade in the lap of nature. Located at Dayapur, an island village in Sundarban, it’s a blissful world that shields you from your television, newspapers, Internet or (sometimes) telephone.

We make a conscious effort to take our guests out of their cottages and allow them to experience the beauty of Dayapur Island that’s home to salt water crocodiles and a variety of exotic birds and of course, the Sundarban National Park, a World Heritage site and Biosphere Reserve that promises a rare sighting of the elusive ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’.

ROUTE MAP Day 1 Kolkata to Sunderban Tiger Camp Morning • Pick up from the preferred location mentioned by the guest (Hotel/Airport/Railway Station). Travel by road to Gothkhali Jetty. Here we transfer to the boat for Waxpol Ghat from where guests will be escorted to the Sunderban Tiger Camp. • Optional Stopover at ‘Gosaba’, one of the earliest human settlements in the Sundarbans. Afternoon

• Check-in followed by lunch

Guest can walk through this village to observe and get a sense of their lifestyle, local crafts, cuisines, and marvel as how local villagers and tigers coexist in a difficult terrain.

Evening

• Around sunset, return to the resort for hi-tea and snacks. • Sit around the bonfire (winters only) and view the Adibasi dance, a performance by aboriginal natives of Sundarbans. • Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant. • Guests can relax at the Gol Ghar bar or call it a night.

Day 2 Morning & Afternoon (Full Day Cruise-Sunrise to late Afternoon Boat Safari) • Breakfast and Lunch will be served hot and fresh on the boat itself during the safari (kindly let us know if any specific dietary requirement or in case of allergy). • Our day will be focused on exploring creeks, rivers and rivulets of the Sundarbans. We will also be on the lookout for endemic birds and mammals followed by a visit to Dobanke Watch Tower. (one can experience the life in which caged animals live in, while getting a 360˚ view of the forest, while walking on this walkway). The spotted deer rehabilitation center is located here. Evening • Around sunset, return to the resort for hi-tea and snacks. • Watch a Wildlife movie • Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant. • Guests can relax at the Gol Ghar bar or call it a night.

Day 3 Morning & Afternoon

• Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant. • Embark on the morning boat safari to Netidhopani Watch Tower / in case Netidopani is closed whole day jungle cruise in the park, which is located deep inside the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. It houses a 300-year-old temple of ‘Bono Bibi,’ considered the Forest Goddess and worshipped by all the villagers. • Hot lunch is served on the boat during the return journey to the resort.

Evening

• In the evening, an invitation to the local rural theatre (Bonobibi Yatra) performed by the villagers in their native language ‘Bengali.’ • Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant. • Guests can relax at the Gol Ghar bar or call it a night.

Day 4 Morning • Embark on the morning boat safari to Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower. Breakfast will be served on the boat. • Return to the resort before noon. Enjoy an early lunch and depart for Kolkata. You will be 2

PROOF OF IDENTITY -Foreign National Guests: Need to carry Original Passport and Visa for Forest Permission. Scanned Copy of the same should be emailed to Kolkata Office ([email protected]) before the commencement of the tour. -Indian National Guests: Need to carry Original Government approved Identity Card (Driving License/Aadhar Card/Passport/Voters ID card) of every residing guests, including children. The same must be submitted at the time of check-in. Please note that Pan Card will NOT be accepted as a proof of identity. -OCI Card Holders: Need to carry OCI Card.

FOREST DEPARTMENT CHARGES (Please inform our manager which camera you are carrying for the current fees structure, this must be paid on Day 1 itself) -For Current Safari, Entry Charges send us an email and we will revert. -Foreigners and Indian Tourist Entry Fees for entry into the Park are extra and vary for different areas of the National Park. -Camera Fees are applicable for Still Camera, Video Camera and Professional Movie Camera. -Forest Department Charges may change from time to time.

TRAVEL INSURANCE We recommend that our guests travelling to India shall purchase a Comprehensive travel insurance to cover theft, loss and medical problems (as well as air evacuation), and it is being strongly recommended. Some policies exclude potentially dangerous activities such as scuba diving, cruise, skiing, motorcycling, paragliding and even trekking; read the fine print and purchase one you may deem necessary for your travel. The management or any office employee(s) or any office staff(s) of the resort shall not taking any responsibility or liability during the participation of any activity.

STANDARD NO SHOW POLICY -No refund is applicable for no show.

CANCELLATION POLICY -Cancellation made by 25 days or ahead will be charged 50% retention. Cancellation made after that will attract 100% retention (no refund). -No refund is applicable for no show. -No refund for unused nights or early checkout. -No refund for cancellation on booking from 15 December - 15 January. -Amendment in dates will be treated as a cancellation. -Cancellation Amount is calculated as per total booking amount and as per advance deposited. -In case the guest has an International bank account, and then any bank charges applicable are to be borne by the customer. We will remit the amount as per our cancellation policy. 5

www.waxpolhotels.com -Long weekend bookings like New Year, Christmas, Holi and Diwali are non-refundable. -Prior to confirming all bookings, we request all guests to please go through our “TERMS and CONDITIONS”, and “Proof of Identity” at the top.

No cancellation charges shall be refunded to any traveller/s in case the booking is cancelled by any of the sides due to Act of God or force majeure, act of war, insurrection, revolt, terrorism, government restrictions and regulations, civil uprisings or unrest or revolt or disturbances, military action, strikes unnatural weather, thefts, pilferage and/or epidemic and pandemic.

OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES -The management or staffs or employees of Sunderban Tiger Camp shall not be held responsible or liable to the travellers for any affect due to Act of God or force majeure, act of war, insurrection, revolt, terrorism, government restrictions and regulations, civil uprisings or unrest or revolt or disturbances, military action, strikes, unnatural weather, thefts, pilferage and/or epidemic and pandemic.

REFUND POLICY -In case of any cancellation, refund takes minimum 15-20 working days for the refund to be processed and to get credited in the guests’ bank, subject to the conditions mentioned above. -In case of refund, bank transactions will be deducted above the cancellation charges. -In case of credit card transactions, refund will be done only to the same credit card.

CREDIT CARD BOOKINGS In order to avoid credit card frauds, guests are requested to note the following: In case the booking is made using credit card, guests are requested to carry the following documents at the time of Check In: -If the Credit card holder is the guest or one of the guests, then the credit card will have to be produced at the time of Check In. -If the Credit Card holder is not one of the guests, then a copy of the credit card (both front and back), self-attested by the credit card holder should be produced at the time of Check-In. In addition to this, it is also required to produce a letter, signed by the credit card holder, authorizing the use of the credit card for the booking of the room. The letter should mention the names of the guests, date of travel, property and room type. This letter, along with the self-attested copy of the credit card will have to be submitted at Check In desk. At the time of submitting the credit card copy, please ensure that the CVV number on it is blacked out. (CVV Number is a three-digit number at the reverse side of the credit card, at the end of the signature panel). In case the guests do not produce the above documents, Hotel reserves the right to deny the reservation. In such case no refund (except for the taxes) will be given to the guest. In case of erroneous/inadequate /misleading information given while booking, Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without any intimation.

HAZARDOUS GOODS Bringing goods and/or storing of raw or exposed cinema films or any other article of a combustible or hazardous nature and/or prohibited goods and /or goods of objectionable nature is prohibited. The guest shall be solely liable and responsible to the management, its other guests, invitees, visitors, agents and servants for all loss financial or otherwise and damage that maybe caused by such articles or as a result of the guests’ own negligence and non- observance of any instructions.

Gambling, contraband, prostitution, weapons, explosives, flammable objects, poisons, drugs, animals and pungent food are strictly prohibited on hotel premises.

GUESTS BELONGINGS The management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss/or damage to Guest’s belongings or any other property. It is further to mention that in the case of any damage or loss of belongings of any guest/s due to theft and /or fire, the resort authority or any of its members and staffs shall not be held responsible.

LEFT LUGGAGE If left luggage is found, then the courier charges for sending the material across will be applicable.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY The guest/s shall be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guest/s or any person for whom they are responsible.

PERSONAL CAR PARKING If the guest/s is/are bringing their own vehicle/s then the parking charges and all vehicle related fees shall be borne by the guest/s. Sunderban Tiger Camp and its members and staff shall not be held responsible for such vehicle fees and related charges 6

www.waxpolhotels.com during the tour. The responsibility of the vehicle is completely upon the guest/s and in case of any damage, loss, theft of the vehicle Sunderban Tiger Camp shall not be held responsible.

AWARENESS OF RISK The traveller/s must be aware of any sorts of risk in a tour.

INDEMNIFICATION Sunderban Tiger Camp shall not indemnify any traveller/s in any nature whatsoever for any loss or damage during the tour.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE RESORT 1. By booking/making reservation of the tour the guest agrees to comply with all the rules and regulations of the resort. 2. The entire tour in case of exclusive/any day departure at Sunderban Tiger Camp (STC) includes accommodation and meals at the Resort. Travel to and from by Road, River Transport must be booked separately at an additional cost. 3. In case of fixed departure, the entire tour from Kolkata to Sunderban Tiger Camp (STC) and back to Kolkata includes fixed meals, travelling by road and river transport and the stay at the Resort. 4. In order to make the tour most enjoyable and for the safety and security of all concerned it is Mandatory for each and every Tourist/Guest to abide by the following Rules and Regulations. During the tour the tourist (s) are requested not to create any nuisance such as to disturb, irritate or annoy the other tourist (s) and will cooperate fully with the Sunderban Tiger Camp staff in order to maintain peace and harmony. 5. It is vital that the serenity of the Sunderban National Park is maintained. Hence, carrying any sort of music system is strictly prohibited. 6. Consumption of Alcohol drinks is allowed only at the specified areas. 7. It will be the sole responsibility of the tourist(s) to take care of their children during the entire tour. 8. In case of any accident and/or unseemly incident, Sunderban Tiger Camp or its staff members cannot be held responsible. 9. Neither the tourist(s) nor any other person shall have the right of action claim, whatsoever against Sunderban Tiger Camp or its staff members in respect of any injury whether fatal or otherwise. 10. Sunderban Tiger Camp or its staff members will not be responsible for any inconvenience or delay to the tourist (s) howsoever and whatsoever caused, or of any loss or damage to the tourist (s) and/his property, howsoever/whatsoever caused. 11. For the Safety and Security of the tourist (s) and the staff members, Sunderban Tiger Camp reserves the right and may be compelled to debar tourist (s) from any tour during its pendency. This clause shall also be applicable to those tourist (s) who fail to comply with any of the foregoing rules and regulations. 12. It is compulsory for all guests to produce a valid government approved identity card for checking in into Sunderban Tiger Camp, absence of identity card for any individual may result in barring them entry into the resort. In such case they will have to organize their transfer back to Kolkata at an additional cost, which will not be covered by the resort. Kindly see “Proof of Identity” for what documents are allowed. 13. In case of any unsolicited fault of the vehicle substitute vehicle arranged may not be qualitatively similar. 14. Dingy boat ride, the traveler/s must be aware of its safety and security measure.

JURISDICTION All disputes in any nature whatsoever shall be subject to the Court of Law of Kolkata jurisdiction.
