Notice of Hearing

IN THE MATTER OF a complaint filed under Section 83 of the Public Utilities Act by Byron Feener, Roy Gillis, John Dunphy, Brian Martin and Robert Beckwith, homeowners of , against Nova Scotia Power Incorporated regarding the Replacement of Underground Service with Overhead Service

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to s84 and s85 of the Public Utilities Act, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board intends to hear and investigate a complaint filed by residents of Cowie Hill against Nova Scotia Power Incorporated (“NSPI”) regarding the replacement of underground service with overhead service;

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the hearing and investigation is being conducted by the Board under the power conferred on it under the Public Utilities Act;

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the hearing and investigation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2004, Tuesday, March 30, 2004, and Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 8:30 a.m. each day, at the Offices of the Board, Summit Place, 1601 Lower Water Street, 3rd Floor, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that all evidence is to be prefiled with the Board and copied to all parties, on or before Monday, March 15, 2004.

EVERYONE is entitled to attend the hearing. Persons wishing to have formal standing to present evidence under oath, or to cross-examine witnesses, must file notice of such intention with the Board not later than February 16, 2004, and must file their evidence, if any, not later than March 15, 2004, with copies to all parties.
