2011: Working with group of professionals (nurses and midwives) on making unified Midwifery curriculum in Palestine.

2011: Attended an international conference for two days entitled “The Potential Role of Transitional Justice in Ongoing Conflicts”, arranged in cooperation between The Minerva Center for Human Rights and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Held at Hebrew University/Jerusalem from 13-15 November.

2011: Attended the International Conference for Midwives which held in Durban/ South Africa, and presented a paper about “women’s experiences towrds te cre offered to them by midwifery project midwives” as an external evluator for thr project.

2 2010: Running a research course for midwifery and Nursing students and supervised them in proposal writing and developing their research papers for their seminar’s presentations/ University.

• Talk on behalf of the Palestinian Midwifery Committee about the development and aims of this committee.

Researches:

2009 Conducted a research as part of project evaluation through which a qualitative research approach was used to assess the client’s and midwives satisfaction towards

the midwifery project. Different stakeholders shared were part of the evaluation process.

9 2003 Conducted a research as part of program review about “Client Satisfaction Assessment of Reproductive Health Services Provided in Hebron Clinic”. Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association.

2000 Conducted a Research with Coauthor about Transitions Into Professional Practice (Lived experiences of Palestinian Nurses and Midwives. Sponsored by the internal grant of Bethlehem University, Bethlehem.

1993-1994 Conducted a research on Mother Newborn Interaction aimed to identify the knowledge of Palestinian Primiparous about newborn capabilities and observe their behavior towards their babies. This research was conducted in fulfilling the requirements of the Post-graduate Diplama, Mother Child Health, Arab College, Al- Quds University, Ramallah.

Textbooks and Publications: 2006 “Transitional into Professional Practice: The Lived Experiences of Palestinian Nurses& Midwives”. Was published as a proceeding in the conference manual of the 1st International Conference arranged by Faculty of nursing at St Jousef University/Beirut. 1997 Mother Newborn Interaction, a research was published in the Nursing Link, Newsletter, Nursing unit, Palestinian Council of Health.

1995 Prepare specific Chapters in School Health which pounded in three text books for 1st, 2nd and 3rd preparatory classes in addition to teacher’s manual textbook. This work was supervised by the Education Department, Bethlehem University.

2011 Attended two workshops for the 4th year midwifery student that arranged as part of their management course requirements, one for mothers who accompanied their sick children at Caritas Baby hospital (two days). Nov/ 2009 Attended a Scientific conference entitled Primary Health Care arranged by the faculty of nursing at Al-Najah university and held at Al-Najah university/Nablus. I arranged for the 3rd year midwifery studentsBethlehem University to attend this conference.

2009 Visit to Norway, through which I attended the annual midwifery conference of the Norwegian and Midwifery Association, through which I presented a paper entitled “Impact of Midwifery Care Project on the Midwives and Community” as an external evaluator for the Project. Norway.

2009 Shared in the arrangement for the second scientific day for midwives at Holly Family Hospital/Bethlehem.

2009 Attended the meeting held at Women Center to discuss the possibilities of research implementation in different women's issue, Ramallah.

11 • Attended one of the monthly series workshops entitled “Women Empowerment” arranged by the Midwifery Project coordinator for project midwives and Ministry of Health nurses working at different MOH clinics in six villages, through which a focus group data collection method was implemented for the benefit of the evaluation report. • Arranged with Ibda’a institute a training program about “Domestic Violence” for four weeks, held at Bethlehem university given to a group of professionals’ social workers nurses, doctors & midwives from deferent institutions.

• Attended a three days training about Academic Leadership Development for the deans, chairpersons & coordinators of programs, arranged by BU & held their.

2005: • Attended two days conference entitle “Mother & Child Health Conference on Natural Birth” coordinated by CISEPO (Canadian institution Scientific Exchange Program). Held at St Andrew institute/ Jerusalem in March 2005. I was the facilitator for the group who were discussed the educational need in Palestine in the aspects of mother & child health & presented the group recommendation.

• Attended & arranged as part of cooperation with our department & Ibdaa Health Committee a workshop entitle” Women’s Health in Palestine” it was held at Ibdaa in March 2005. I presented a paper about (Safe motherhood as a Matter of Human Right & Social Justice).

• Participated in the meeting that arranged through JUZOOR to discuss a paper entitle “Midwifery in Palestine” this paper submitted from JUZOOR included the gathering data related to midwifery, recommendation for midwifery policy & possible strategies to adopt.

13 • Attended two days conference arranged by MARAM entitle “Safe Maternity Homes” held in Jordan March 2005, it is an evaluative conference for the Maternity homes that were established in three Palestinian villages to decrease the burden of transportation for pregnant mothers & decrease the mortality & morbidity rate, I was the coordinator for the conference meeting in the second day. • Attended one day of the PEACE Conference that took place at Bethlehem University. • Attended & involved in the steering committee of the” First Emergency Conference” which was held at Bethlehem University coordinated by Care International & Bethlehem University (Nursing Faculty).

• Attended & coordinated two workshops in cooperation with Bieir Ziet university(Institute of Community & Public Health), Holy Family Hospital & two members from Swedish Nursing Association entitle “Implementing Evidence –Based Maternity Care” The first one held at Institute of Community & Public Health/ Ramallah in Feb 22nd 2005 & the other at Holy Family Hospital in Feb 24th 2005 both were aimed to gather the midwives from all over to come out with a committee that support & empower Palestinian Midwives. I presented a paper related to (Midwifery Strategies in Palestine) that I worked on with the National plan for Human Recourse Development Committee.

2004: • Participated in a workshop concerning “ Health Realities at Bethlehem area” Challenges & future plan. I shared the group who were come out with recommendations for the effective ways in improving the health care facilities at Bethlehem area. This workshop arranged by Ibdaa Health Committee & held at Ibdaa. • Attended & coordinated the training workshop on the” Role of Community Midwives” which was held at B.U in cooperation with Foundation For Health & Social Development (JUZOOR) 4 British Midwives were gave the training sessions, our student midwives share in this training.
