of the VOTING FACULTY

1948-49 SPECI.AL MEETING, UNIVERSITY FACULTY June 3, 1949 Candidates for various degrees as listed on attached mimeographed sheets were reco~ended for degrees by the deans of the respective colleges. In each instance the Faculty voted unanimously to recommend. the candidates to the Regents for the awarding of their respective degrees.

President Popejoy presented a proposal, previously discussed by the Administrative Committee, for an Air Forces Training Program similar to the aval R.O.T.C. A sub-committee of the .Adninistrative Committee, having studied the space re~uirement, had recommended favorably, finding that the space needs of the unit could be met.

Dr. LaPaz moved that the faculty go on record as approving the in­ stitution of an Air R.O .T.C. within our present frame. Seconded by Dr. Jacobs. Amendment suggested by President Popejoy that amount of credit to be allo ·ed for the program be determined by the various colleges. Amendment accepted by mover and seconder. Motion carried.
