The Taizé community is an ecumenical monastic order in Taize France with a strong devotion to peace and justice through prayer and meditation. It was established in 1940 by Roger Louis Schutz-Marsauche (known as 'Brother Roger').

Three times a day, everything on the hill of Taizé stops: the work, the Bible studies, the discussions. The bells call everyone to church for prayer. Hundreds or even thousands from all over the world pray and sing together with the brothers of the community. Scripture is read in several languages. In the middle of each common prayer, there is a long period of silence, a unique moment for meeting with God. Our parish will offer, in a similar manner, this wonderful opportunity for silence and prayer during the season of Lent to pray for peace and reconciliation...something we all need in our lives today...something our entire world so badly needs. A Lenten Evening of Prayer in the manner of Taize will be held on Sunday, March 4, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., in the church.

FOLLOWING THE TAIZE PRAYE WILL BE THE PARISH MISSION All are invited to come!
