Retirement ~ December 27, 2015 Evangelist Dorothy M. Clark Thank you for Your 50 Years of Service to Evangelist Dorothy M. Clark (83 years of age) and New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) with the blessings of the Lord will celebrate another birthday on December 19th has been a member of New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) for over 68 years. Evangelist Clark was introduced to New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) by her aunt, Sister Allenies Roberts and Sister Hattie Diggs. She was married to the late Leroy Clark (who passed in 1981) for 33 years and together they raised eight Doris Belton 01 Everett Brower 10 Dominic Godfrey 23 children: five sons (two deceased) and three daughters. She is also the loving and devoted Laverne Blount 01 Melvin W. Flythe 10 Jermaine D. McCoy 24 grandmother of 10, the great grandmother of 12, and the great great grandmother of four.

Her first job was that of a seamstress working for PW Laundry (sewing buttons Renee Mayo 02 Linda Elliott 16 Tyrhonda Wright 27 and badges on 1500 shirts per day). She was later employed at Portsmouth General Avis Walker 03 Thelma Burks 17 Asa Thompson 28 Hospital where she retired in 1992 after 28 years of service.

Evangelist Clark was also a member of the former Gospel Ronoker Lennex 08 Fannie Coefield 22 Choir for 22 years. Her love for the Lord lead her to attend the Mount Carmel Mission Vonda Rogers 08 School of Evangelist under the leadership of Bishop C. V. Russell, Jr. and graduated on May 28, 2005.
