Confidential 3 Spotlight Diomedes Maturan Naku ha! by Jose Baking The Perry Como of the Philippines LMConfidential.com Puto & Cuchinta for Charity Have you been approached in a mall by Filipinos selling cuhcinta and puto and claiming it is for charity in the Philippines? A long time ago, somebody approached me at Finch subway. I bought 2 packs yata. Of course, I did not believe her. My sis ter got approached at Walmart also by these Filipinos claiming to sell for charity in the Philippines. My brother in law asked for their permit to sell and claim that reason. They cannot produce any and they left. If you believe them, that is up to you. I have ssen some kababayans selling suman and tinapa at the corner of Bathurst and Wislon, the plaza at the NW corner, right at the doorstep of Starbucks. Every weekend lang naman yata. I cannot remember if the suman seller claimed charity or not but I ended up buying. I am not even fond of suman. I don’t mind them. I don’;t believe their charitable status anyway. I am jsut surprised that none of the businesses in that plaza have complained against them.
