He likewise "doe~ not discuss any of the more purely medical conditions seen in tropical coun~ries, where abdominal pain as a presenting sympton often requires anxious consideration and accurate evaluation. This culminates in 1921 with, for the frst time in 260 years, the establishment of a professional Corps within the Army for the dental care of its soldiers; the Army Dental Corps is formed.
