I really like to dress in layers like jeans, a black sweater and another sweater on top of that. I also love to wear tailored clothes that have a sleek cut. My preference is more the European style of dressing than American. There’s just something so wonderful and historic about Europe and it’s reflected in their fashion. In spite of the fact that I have to dress for my performances daily, I also love wearing suits and I do own a couple of tuxedos. I prefer the double breasted ones because they look really mob.

  • Annual Report:2018-2019
David Cecsarini, Producing Artistic Director Anne Lehmer, Development Director Rebecca Moder, Marketing Director ANNUAL REPORT: 2018-2019 MISSION: Next Act engages the hearts and minds of its audience with compelling and intimate theatre productions intended to stimulate thought, foster the exchange of ideas and to promote the development of new perspectives and understanding. HISTORY: Next Act Theatre is a professional theatre company located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1990, Next Act Theatre was created with the merger of Next Generation Theatre and Theatre Tesseract. The company was originally led by Artistic Director Jonathan Smoots and Associate Artistic Director David Cecsarini. Just prior to the company’s third season, Smoots left to pursue other artistic opportunities and Cecsarini took the reins as Next Act’s Artistic Director. Around the same time, Charles Kakuk came aboard as Managing Director, a position he held until his death in 2014. Next Act performed in a number of venues in its early years including Centennial Hall (located in the Milwaukee Public Library), the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre’s Stiemke Theatre, the Todd Wehr Theatre in the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, The Broadway Theatre Center’s Studio Theatre, the Humphrey Masonic Center and Marquette’s Helfaer Theatre. Seeing a need to establish a home space that could accommodate a growing number of patrons, Next Act created the Off Broadway Theatre in 2000, a 99-seat theatre space at 342 N. Water Street which also housed their offices and rehearsal space. Next Act would remain here until the sale of the building prompted an ambitious and successful capital campaign that resulted in a 152-seat theatre in the burgeoning Walker’s Point neighborhood, just south of the Milwaukee River.

Voters making selections in their own branch categories list only film titles on their ballots, not the individuals responsible for the various achievements. For that reason, as well as for reasons of printing time and convenience of using this pamphlet, full credit rosters are not provided for the listed films. An exception to the above exists in the four Acting categories, where simply listing titles would not provide enough voting information. Actors Branch members filling out their Nominations ballots must indicate both titles and the particular performers they are voting for. For that reason, the Reminder List provides a listing of up to fifty cast members for each film. Pictures eligible in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature and Foreign Language Film categories are also eligible in the Best Picture category, provided they meet the qualifications for the category.
