PANEL DEPUTIES 2011

Last October the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) ran a campaign to renew its list of Panel Deputies, that is, the list of deputies the Court will turn to in what’s known as ‘last resort’ cases: the relatively rare circumstances where the Court of Protection decides there is no one close to the person lacking capacity who is suitable or willing to act. This has now been completed and members have been formally appointed ready for the Court to start making referrals to the list on Monday 4th April 2011.
