In 1994, Brent Sanford le the University of North Dakota with an accounting degree for a career in Phoenix and then Denver.

A er 10 years, Sanford decided that it was time to move his family back home to Watford City. Not long a er he was elected to the city council and then elected the city's mayor.

Today as lieutenant governor, Sanford works diversify the state’s economy, create long lasting jobs, and generate opportunities for citizens to ourish and succeed in North Dakota.
