The unique Jaguar Vector V20E recorded an average speed of 88.61mph across the two legs of the famous 1km course on Coniston Water, England. The electric boat was designed and constructed by Jaguar Vector in partnership with Jaguar Racing’s technical partner Williams Advanced Engineering. Jaguar Vector co-founder and technical director Peter Dredge piloted the V20E. Following Jaguar’s announcement in October 2017 to become the exclusive title partner of Vector, the team will attempt further world and national records over the next 18 months as part of a major initiative to push the boundaries of performance and to showcase British engineering.     Press Release 18 January 2020 Santiago E-Prix, Race 3 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/2020 TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team out of luck at the race in Chile Stuttgart. After a strong podium finish at the season-opener in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team was denied a further top result in the third race of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/2020 season in Santiago (Chile). Neel Jani (CH) was forced to retire from the race after just a few laps in his #18 Porsche 99X Electric. André Lotterer (D) crossed the finishing line at the Santiago E-Prix in 22nd place in his #36 Porsche 99X Electric, but was later disqualified having exceeded the maximum permitted power amount. Victory went to Maximilian Günther (D, BMW i Andretti Motorsport), ahead of António Félix da Costa (PT, DS Techeetah) and Mitch Evans (NZ, Jaguar Racing). Having started the race from twelfth place, Jani was involved in a racing accident through no fault of his own on the first lap and had to head for the pits. He was able to return to the 2.287 km street circuit, but the damage to his car was so severe that it proved impossible to continue racing. Lotterer had qualified in 14th place but was involved in an incident in the race and also had to make a pit stop for repairs. He did manage to continue and get some important kilometres under his belt. André Lotterer is in ninth place in the drivers’ standings; Neel Jani is currently in 23rd position.

    RENAULT ALPINE A110 1300 WITH THE CLEON ALU TS ENGINE 1973 Renault Alpine 1100 1300 2 owner with R8 gordini TS cléon Alu engine Launched in 1961 the A110, like previous road-going Alpines, used many Renault parts, including engines. While its predecessor the A108 was designed around Dauphine components, the A110 was updated to use R8 parts. Unlike the A108, which was available first as a cabriolet and only later as a coupé, the A110 was available first as a Berlinette and then as a cabriolet. The most obvious external difference with the A108 coupé was restyled rear bodywork. Done to accommodate the A110's larger engine, this change gave the car a more aggressive look. Like the A108, the A110 featured a steel backbone chassis and a fiberglass body. The A110 achieved most of its fame in the early 1970s as a successful rally car. After winning several rallies in France in the late 1960s with the cast-iron R8 Gordini Cléon-Fonte engines the car was fitted with the aluminium-block Cléon-Alu from the Renault 16 TS. This allowed the production to attain a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). The car achieved international fame during the 1970–1972 seasons competing in the newly created International Championship for Manufacturers, winning several events around Europe, earning a reputation as one of the strongest rally cars of its time.
