South Brent Focus This section is available to voluntary organisations within the village to publicise their activities. Contributions should be sent to the Clerk for consideration, and whilst there is no formal charge, any contributions towards the cost of printing and distribution would be appreciated.

NEWS FROM SOUTH BRENT RECREATION ASSOCIATION YOUTH NEWS Thanks to the efforts of Tracey and Darryl - the church youth worker and Mike Antonio - our new volunteer we restarted after a short break for unacceptable behaviour with lots of fun games and hopefully back on course. We are particularly pleased with the efforts from our young volunteers Jess Towl, Sam Taylor and Paige Lavers who make a real difference to the success of youth club evenings. We would also like to thank Darryl the church youth worker who has lots of energy to engage young people. We have reviewed the current situation and assessed future needs and we would hope to develop further paid and volunteer posts to enable our young people to reach their fullest potential, so if there is any talent or skill you could bring to our youth club please contact : Anne Nicholls 01364 72223 or Robin Toogood 01364 72458 The youth club will be providing refreshments at the Eden Project & Sustainable South Brent event on the 4 th July. The core aim of our youth club is to bring out the best and help our young people make a difference and enhance their lives. TENNIS COURTS In an effort to promote opportunities for sport the tennis courts will be FREE to use for another year. Please look on notice board for regular bookings. VICE PRESIDENTS CLUB This is our fundraising scheme which gives subscribers the chance to WIN £500 in our December draw. We are keen to attract new subscribers to enable us to have 2 draws a year. We currently have 20 members who pay: £48 a year, either in one payment or £4 per month or £13 every 3 months preferably paid by standing order. Over 50% of the funds raised are paid out in prizes and the funds raised in the past have helped towards the refurbishment of the toilets and changing rooms.
