As a very proud club president I would like remarkable things in a baseball uniform. Whilst they to congratulate everyone involved with the will be an extremely big loss to our club I wish them club for another great year. both all the very best for their future and life without baseball. You will always be a part of our family. Someone mentioned to me shortly after the season I’d also like to thank Steve Pack. Steve joined me that we didn’t have a very successful season this this year as the Vice President and took on the role year, and I guess if you consider success just to be of co-ordinating the juniors. The junior players are premierships that would be true. But I disagreed our life blood and the future champions of this club strongly with this person. Once again we fielded and it was great to Steve put in his time to ensure the most number of teams out of every club in the this flourished. I know he had a lot of assistance with competition, fielding teams from t-ball right through this but for me personally it was a great relief knowing to 1st grade, including two 4th and two 3rd grade I could sit back and trust things were moving in the sides. right direction. Our on field achievements were Senior Club I’d like to take a moment to thank our sponsors Champions, 1st grade grand finalist’s for the 27th for their generous contributions this year. We also bought I’d also like to thank all of the coaches, scorers, a ride on mower to assist with the maintenance and bbq and canteen staff, groundcrew, umpires and our grounds have never looked as good. Whilst many of course the committee for all of your hard work club members contributed to these works and I am throughout the year, it really is a thankless job you all very thankful for their hard work I must make special do and you continue to do so week in and week out mention to Mark Thomas and John Williams who and I really can’t thank you all enough. I’d also like to worked tirelessly to oversee the completion of these thank my wife Elese for everything you do and for the works and ensure our fields looked great throughout time you allow me to put in. the year. I’d like to finish by encouraging as many people as Our club also had too many people to count who I can to get in and lend a hand around this great made representative teams from juniors through club. Things don’t just happen, people make things to seniors and we supplied many coaches to these happen and together we can continue to ensure our teams as well. So in my opinion I think most clubs club goes from strength to strength. would love to achieve what we achieved this year, and so for me we have had a successful year. Matt Ireland I would like to congratulate Toronto baseball club President on winning their inaugural 1st grade premiership and commending them for a fantastic grand final day at Waterboard Oval. Unfortunately for us that means the end of our most successful era in club history, with our 1st grade side falling just shy of the elusive 10 grand final wins in a row. Whilst I consider it to be a successful season we have a lot of work ahead of us for us to continue to be a force in the competition. With a number of players set to retire or leave due to other reasons we must work hard to continue to develop our junior players. Next year will open the door for a number of the younger guys who have been holding their own in 2nd and 3rd grade but will now get their chance to play regular 1st grade and I encourage these guys to take this opportunity and own it. I would like to thank both Adam Blight and Mark Dries for their service to our club over their careers, these two guys have been arguably some of the very best to wear the “Blue & Gold” and have both achieved

The 2017 second grade team this season was Toronto were always going to be tough on grand final without a few of its senior players who played day especially on their home turf and in front of their 3rd grade this year and made way for a few supporters.
