Hip-Hop Week MKE continues Events to cover financial and physical health, employment

The inaugural Hip-Hop Week MKE continues with programming that will include financial intelligence, health and wellness, employment opportunities, and of course a musical performance, according to Alderman Khalif J. Rainey, who sponsored the successful legislation creating Hip-Hop Week MKE, an official City of Milwaukee event. Today (Tuesday) August 21 features a Jay Morrison Financial Intelligence Seminar at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society, 2620 W. Center St. from 5 to 7 p.m. Baby Drew Unplugged with Cigarette Break Live will take place at Mister J’s Lounge, 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave. from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, Hip-Hop legend Masta Ace will lead a and Health conversation (as he personally battles MS) at St. Joseph Hospital, 5000 W. Chambers St. from 12 to 1 p.m. Then at St. Joe’s from 1 to 3 p.m. will be a Hip-Hop Health Fair with special guests Mannan Sabir of the Juice Kitchen, Hip-Hop Artist C_HaZe, and celebrity chef Michael Feker. Municipal Court Warrant Withdrawal Wednesday and Employment Resource Event will take place at Journey House 2110 W. Scott St. from 1 to 4 p.m. (Please note, only persons who have pre- registered for the Withdrawal Wednesday will be able to participate in that event.
