Beloved husband of 18 years of Patricia (nee Rusden); devoted father of Thomas and step-father of Michael Hopkins (Lynn) and Holly Walsh (Tom); grandfather of 6; loving brother of Raymond (Deborah) and Arlene Carr; uncle of 3. Jerry was a dedicated Phila. Police Officer for 21 years; his last assign-ment was as police officer in charge of Tacony P.A.L. After retirement, Jerry would teach for the Wissahickon School District Frederick C. Feil FREDERICK C., JR., 82 of Osprey Point, Upper Township, NJ, on April l6, 2014. Devoted husband of Margaret. He is also survived by his son, Frederick J.C., and wife Kelly; sister, Mercedes and Miniature Schnauzer, Striper. He is predeceased by his sister, Virginia. Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Central High School, 192nd. Class. Mr. Feil enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea as a tank gunner until wounded, awarded the Purple Heart and discharged. He served as a proud member of the Philadelphia Police Departments K-9 Unit with his best buddies, Doberman Pinscher, Dutch and German Shepherd, Shep. Later, he was employed as a civil engineering draftsman. He was a reader, a lover of music from Chopin to Kenton, of pocket billiards, thoroughbred racing, and a life-long saltwater fisherman beginning as a child with his grandfather, a member of the Ventnor City Fishing Club. He and Margaret thoroughly enjoyed fishing Ocean City and Corson's Inlet NJ and Hatteras, NC. He was a member of numerous fishing organizations including the Ocean City Fishing Club serving as Treasurer for twelve years. Bob Stevens - Ret. PPD / 24th District Salvatore F. "Sal" DiBerardo SALVATORE F. "SAL", age 75 on June 21, 2014 of Broomall formerly of Overbrook. Sal was a Navy Veteran and a Retired Philadelphia Police Officer. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Mater Dei Council and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Cardinal Dougherty Assembly. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Rosemary (nee Valtri), his loving sons Salvatore T. (Alicia) and Nicholas (Louise), his 6 adoring grandchildren and his sister Judith Amoroso.. Also survived by his nieces Lisa and Janet. Anthony was a former Phila Police Officer as well as a Security Guard at Nazareth Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen "Kate" McCoy Sample. He is also survived by his daughters; Diane Sample, Donna Tener (Jeff) and Ellen C. (nee McGlone), June 2, 2014. Daughter of the late Pauline and Andrew McGlone. Patricia was the oldest of seven siblings; John, Joseph, Maureen, Kathleen, Marie and the late Andrew. Patricia raised three children and worked two jobs her entire life to raise and support her children. Pat retired from the Philadelphia Police Department after twenty-eight years of service, she is the founder of the University of the Arts Bookstore, and has worked for over thirty-five years for the First Judicial Court district. Patricia will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Christina (Adam) and her sons James (Elizabeth) and Michael (Melissa), devoted grand-mother of Sarah and Katie; James, Antonio, Whitney, Tiffany, Melanie, Makayla; Emily Rose and Molly Marie. He is responsible for Pennsylvania having the largest and most successful Veterans Court program across the nation. Justice McCaffrey has many awards and honors to include: American Legion Man of the Year; Catholic War Veterans Man of the Year; Philadelphia Shomrim Fellowship Award; Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Hall of Fame; U. S. Air Force Reserves Squadron Commander ofthe Year; Air Force Security Police Commander of the Year to name a few.
