Locals got a good look at the K-153 steam locomotive as it rolled into town on Wednesday night, and on its return Thursday morning as part of the Southern Steam Spectacular tour. Hundreds lined Broadway on Thursday morning ahead of its departure back to Mel- bourne. Wycheproof’s Barry and Deb Crockett were among the 146 guests aboard, and said the feedback from other tourists and train crew was extremely positive. “We had numerous discus- sions with both organisers and tourists, and everyone was most effusive about what a wonderful town Wyche- proof is, and how welcoming and supportive the residents are,” Barry said. • Wycheproof's Prep-1 class were chuffed to get a close look at the visiting steam train last Thursday: Pictured with the engine drivers are, front row, left “It has been a big bonus to right, R. (“SBS”) seek modification of the television market of WSBS-TV, Key West, Florida (the “Station”), to reinstate 41 communities (the “Communities”) located in the Miami- Ft. Lauderdale Designated Market Area (the “Miami-Ft. Lauderdale DMA” or the “DMA”) that were previously deleted from the Station’s television market by virtue of a series of market modification decisions released in 1996 and 1997. SBS seeks recognition that the Communities located in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties form an integral part of WSBS-TV’s natural market. The elimination of the Communities prior to SBS’s ownership of the Station cannot diminish WSBS-TV’s longstanding service to the Communities, to which WSBS-TV provides significant locally-produced news and public affairs programming targeted to residents of the Communities, and where the Station has developed many substantial advertising relationships with local businesses throughout the Communities within the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale DMA. Cable operators have obviously long recognized that a clear nexus exists between the Communities and WSBS-TV’s programming because they have been voluntarily carrying WSBS-TV continuously for at least a decade and continue to carry the Station today.

Coincidentally, I joined AFL Tasmania as a Director at virtually the same time Andrew became Chief Executive and during my seven years as Chairman of AFL Tasmania our team has worked very closely with Andrew, Gillon McLachlan and other members of the AFL executive management team. The facts speak for themselves; Andrew Demetriou has been an outstanding national leader of our game and in my opinion he has also provided exceptional support and advice to Tasmanian football through AFL Tasmania. The first time I met with Andrew he was very clear about the fact that the AFL must prioritise its development activities in Queensland and New South Wales. The growth of the game in these two northern states will ultimately be to the benefit of a traditional football state such as Tasmania.
