The Sound Tigers enter the contest on a three-game unbeaten in 8-6-2-1 Home 13-1-0-2 regulation streak (2-0-1-0) following a 4-3 overtiMe loss to the Springfield Thunderbirds at hoMe. Kieffer 5-10-2-0 Away 5-7-2-3 Bellows scored all three goals for his first professional hat trick to help the Sound Tigers bounce back froM a pair of third-period deficits. Between the pipes, Jakub Skarek (3-5-1) Made 29 saves on 33 shots in his 9.5% (31) PP 15.0% (T22) 10th AHL outing. WOLF PACK Tonight's Matchup is the fifth of 12 Meetings between the Sound Tigers and Wolf Pack this season, and the 2-0-1-0 Streak 1-0-0-0 third of six in Hartford. The New York Rangers' affiliate took each of the first three gaMes, but Bridgeport 1-5 OT Rec. 4-7 responded with its biggest win of the year last Friday in a 5-1 victory at Webster Bank Arena. Andrew Ladd scored twice just hours after being returned on loan by the Islanders, while Kieffer Bellows added one of his 1 (T27) SHGF 4 (T12) teaM-leading 13 goals this season. Otto Koivula also had a teaM-high three points (three assists) and Jared 6 (T26) SHGA 6 (T26) Coreau (5-8-1) Made 30 saves. The Sound Tigers last trip to Hartford ended in a 4-1 loss on Oct. 26. BRI LEADERS HFD VIEW FROM HARTFORD Aho Points Lettieri The Wolf Pack have been strong since the beginning the season and are currently tied for first place in the Atlantic Division with the Providence Bruins (43 points). However, Hartford's win percentage is best in the 19 24 division (.652) following a 4-1 victory against the Providence Bruins on Saturday. Phil Di Giuseppe, Vitali Bellows Goals Lettieri Kravtsov, Matt Beleskey and TiM Gettinger each found the back of the net, Yegor Rykov and Boo Nieves 13 11 had two assists, and goalie Igor Shesterkin Made 30 saves. A fourth-round pick of the New York Rangers in 2014, Shesterkin leads the AHL in GAA (1.98), is tied for second in wins (13), ranks third in shutouts (3) Aho Assists 2 Tied and fourth in save percentage (.932). WahlstroM, 19, recorded nine points (3g, Feb. 23 HFD at BRI 3 p.m. 6a) in 20 gaMes with the Sound Tigers this season and also played nine gaMes with the Islanders, including Feb. 29 HFD at BRI 7 p.m. his NHL debut on Oct. 14 against St. Louis. The P-Bruins got two goals from Ryan Fitzgerald along with goals from Colby Cave, Trent Frederic and Josh Hennessy while Zane McIntyre made his 40th start of the season in net. Providence didn’t get a shot for the first nine minutes, but got the first goal of the night thanks to Fitzgerald. He used a back hand, forehand move to get Phantoms’ goaltender Dustin Tokarski committed and snuck one in at 10:47 for his 16th goal of the season. Austin Czarnik assisted on the play, moving him 10th all-time in team history with 147 points. Their 1-0 lead was short lived, as at 12:21 Danick Martel scored from in close to tie things up 1-1 into the intermission. The second period proved to be a battle between the P-Bruins and the Phantoms, as each team fought for the lead. Providence did not get a shot for the first five minutes, but their first of the period resulted in a goal. A beautiful slap- past from Connor Clifton set up Cave wide open in the left slot and he hit the open net at 5:05 to for his 10th goal of the season. The Phantoms were persistent and tied things up again two minutes later 2-2 with a goal from Corban Knight, jamming in a shot on a rebound after a breakaway from Chris Conner.

The P-Bruins got two goals from Ryan Fitzgerald along with goals from Anton Blidh, Jordan Szwarz, Trent Frederic and Austin Czarnik while Zane McIntyre made his 42nd start of the season in net. Providence dominated the zone time in the opening period and it showed on the scoreboard. After being held scoreless despite an 8-1 shots edge through six minutes, Blidh gave the P-Bruins a 1-0 lead at 7:59. Taking a pass from Cameron Hughes, Blidh started a 2-on-1 break with Jack Studnicka up the right side. Rather than pass, Blidh surprised Hartford goalie Alexander Georgiev with a wrister from inside the right circle for his 11th goal of the season. Just 1:11 later, Szwarz doubled that lead with his 21st goal of the season. At the bottom of the left circle, he blasted a one-timer in off a pass from Fitzgerald to give Providence a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. That domination continued into period number two with Providence tacking on a trio of goals. Fitzgerald found the back of the net on the power play at 2:58, tapping a beautiful feed from Czarnik in from the crease to make things 3-0 Providence. He struck again at 8:37, taking advantage of a poor Hartford clearing attempt.

    BRIDGEPORT SOUND TIGERS: COACHES BIOS BRENT THOMPSON - HEAD COACH Brent Thompson is in his seventh season as head coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, which also marks his ninth year in the New York Islanders organization. Thompson was originally hired to coach the Sound Tigers on June 28, 2011 and led the team to a division title in 2011-12 before being named assistant South Division coach of the Islanders for two seasons (2012-14). On May 2, 2014, the Islanders announced Thompson would return to his role as head coach of the Sound Tigers. He is 246-203-50 in 499 career regular-season games as Bridgeport's head coach. Thompson became the Sound Tigers' all-time winningest head coach on Jan. 28, 2017, passing Jack Capuano with his 134th career victory. Prior to his time in Bridgeport, Thompson served as head coach of the Alaska Aces (ECHL) for two years (2009-11), winning the Kelly Cup Championship in 2011. During his two seasons as head coach in Alaska, Thompson amassed a record of 83- 50-11 and won the John Brophy Award as ECHL Coach of the Year in 2011 after leading the team to a record of 47-22-3. Thompson also served as a player/coach with the CHL’s Colorado Eagles in 2003-04 and was an assistant with the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen from 2005-09. Before joining the coaching ranks, Thompson enjoyed a 14-year professional playing career from 1991-2005, which included 121 NHL games and more than 900 professional contests. The Calgary, AB native was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (39th overall) of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
