Jim Arnold CDG was Associate Casting Director for Pippa Ailion Casting from 2012- 2018, before establishing Jim Arnold Casting in 2018. He was the Original Casting Associate for Matilda, the Musical at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon, and was Casting Assistant at the RSC for 3 and a half years from 2007-2011. He has worked with several leading Casting Directors in TV, film and theatre and is a full member of the Casting Director’s Guild of Great Britain and Ireland. 18 September 2015 FULL CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR WEST END PRODUCTION OF GUYS AND DOLLS PREVIEWS FROM 10 DECEMBER 2015 PRESS NIGHT 6 JANUARY 2016 SAVOY THEATRE Full casting is announced for the highly acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre revival of Guys and Dolls, which will open at the Savoy Theatre for a strictly limited 13 week run from 10 December 2015. Joining Sophie Thompson as Miss Adelaide and Jamie Parker as Sky Masterson, are David Haig as Nathan Detroit and Siubhan Harrison as Sarah Brown. Guys and Dolls will see Sophie Thompson and David Haig perform together for the first time since their comic pairing as bride and groom, Lydia and Bernard, in the British smash hit film, Four Weddings and a Funeral. 'The most perfect musical comedy ever' The Sunday Times Nathan Detroit (David Haig) is desperate: he needs money for an illegal dice game, and he needs it fast. Not to mention a 14-year engagement with nightclub singer Miss Adelaide (Sophie Thompson), whose patience is finally running out. Enter notorious gambler Sky Masterson (Jamie Parker), a guy who can never turn down a bet, and straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown (Siubhan Harrison), a doll with a heart of ice. Nathan’s wager is that Sky has to romance Sarah by taking her to Havana for dinner and in return he’ll provide a dozen ‘sinners’ for Sarah’s mission. Surely this is one bet Nathan absolutely can't lose? A joyous and vibrant celebration of Prohibition-era New York, Guys and Dolls first premiered on Broadway in 1950 and captured the optimism and energy of post-World War Two America.

Pippa Ailion CDG Pippa Ailion has cast over 200 productions internationally. She was Resident Associate Director, casting three seasons of European classics for Jonathan Miller at the Old Vic between 1987 and 1991. After several years as a English and drama teacher, her career in the theatre began in 1972 as an actor, production assistant, company manager, director and she was head of the BA Acting course at Central School of Speech and Drama from 1994 -1997. She still continues to teach at several Drama schools. Henry V All photos, unless stated, Johan Persson. “What an audacious and imaginative start this is to the Open Air Theatre’s season” Evening Standard Continuing our ambition to stage large scale theatre for families, Michael Morpurgo’s jungle adventure, Running Wild, incorporated a Young People’s Ensemble of over 50 drawn from our local community, as well as life-size puppetry in the form of orang-utans, a tiger and an elephant. Co-produced with Chichester Festival Theatre, the production embarks on a UK tour in 2017. Opening on the eve of the EU referendum, Henry V - Shakespeare’s play examining England’s relationship with her European neighbours - was staged to celebrate his legacy in this, the 400th anniversary of his death. With Michelle Terry in the title role, a soundscape of warfare played throughout the venue accompanying choreographed battles. “What better example of the unintentionally site-specific. Regent’s Park becomes a version of an ideal Britain. Lush, green, inviting. Around the stage, bushes press in, heavy with rain. Birds don’t so much chirrup as bellow their freedom. They soar over the stage, unchallenged across boundaries” (Observer) As a self-funded charity with ticket sales accounting for over 90% of income, audience engagement and development are key to our success. Jesus Christ Superstar and Pride and Prejudice played to capacity audiences, with both productions continuing into 2017; Pride and Prejudice tours the UK until March and Jesus Christ Superstar returns to the Open Air Theatre to conclude the 2017 season giving audiences one final chance to see it in its original home.
