ORGANIZATION VALUES by Singhania Organization values are defined to be the driving force of an organization. Every organization, be it a company, social service organization etc., have organization values which form the core fundamentals of the organization. Employees or members भजन of organizations speak a lot on these values, but I have not witnessed until recently, र र any organization, where, employees are motivated and share a deep bonding with the र र, organization because of its values. र आ I had the opportunity to listen to a talk delivered by a doctor of a reputed hospital in र Bangalore providing free medical services. The moment you hear free medical services, the thoughts which may immediately strike one’s mind are, are the facilities र , ओ र , good, are the doctors good, will I receive proper care? How will good doctors be motivated to work for a charity organization? Yes, the same questions used to pop up in my mind too. But, then when the doctor tells that the fundamental value which र र आ , drives them is that “a patient should leave the hospital with a smile”. This simple sentence speaks a lot when analyzed in depth. If the employees work based on this आ value, it is definite that the experience of the patient at the hospital will be pleasant. Moreover, for people who have to work each and every day to feed their family, र र, discharging them with a smile on their face means that it is not only the medical treatment, but the minute details of life and livelihood of the patient that has been र , आ understood, thought upon, considered and addressed. आ र

This inspired me to such an extent, that I started to think, can we have companies , which are driven by values, which keep the employees motivated and bond with the र organization. Company means business and everything is valued as business. An employee works in the company whether he likes it or not, because he needs the र , money to support his living. But, many questions can arise, is the employee happy आ र with his work, does he like the culture, does he do the work with a passion, and the र like. These behavioural parameters sound simple, but these are the parameters many leaders are trying to address. और र , I do not have any solution on this, but, then I want the readers to put a thought on this र and see if they can implement such values in their organization. The reason is, if ध र अ आ, done, then there can be no looking back. र ध र

र , “New Age values are conscious evolution, a non-sectarian society, a non-military culture, global sharing, healing the environment, sustainable economies, self- determination, social justice, economic empowerment of the poor, love, in अ र र , action, going beyond religious fundamentalism, going beyond nationalism-extreme nationalism, culture.” र धर Deepak Chopra र

Pros and Cons of Online Shopping

The word ‘discount’ or ‘sale’ can hit your pockets hard without you realizing it. Online shopping is in fact a revolutionary concept that came in this century. It is convenient, cheap and saves a lot of time. Online retail market has more than what one could expect, true, but it has its pros and cons as well.

Pros:

Well of course there is an undeniable ease of shopping online. No walking, no crowded market hassles, and no bargaining either. And we no longer need to spend our precious weekends in tiring markets or malls. Shopping apps are now available on our PC and on our mobiles. And most of all there are ‘n’ numbers of discounts what more can we ask for.

We save the frustrating auto or taxi fares. In fact your orders are delivered to you at your doorstep. And there are all kinds of payment options allowing you to choose from what best suits your pocket. Debit or Credit Card Payment, Cash on Delivery. The best part is you have the easiest ways to return the product.

Cons:

Did you realize that the shopaholic in you cannot resist the cravings for shopping if you have those mobile apps in hand? There is a hidden loss of money when you shop online. Paying liquid cash allows you to count the amount you spend while shopping and hence you know when to shop. Window shopping online doesn’t really exist. More often than not we end up shopping as the deals and products seem so appealing and tempting.

The word ‘sale’ is quite dreading. Remember that ‘Sale’ doesn’t always mean that you need those products. Very often the products on sale are not really the kind which a common man would need. Well, it is not bad to buy things off sale but it is always wise to comprehend whether or not we need those products.

We need to chalk out our budget for each month and reckless online shopping may break into your budget and you might end up with nil bank balance by the end of the month. Sticking to a planned budget is a must. If necessary you can even give an edge to your online shopping every month.

Here are a few tips that might just help you feel less super idiot about unnecessary expenditures:

Bookmark your favourite products

Make your life easier and already bookmark or save products in your cart earlier than waiting for the best prices to just pop up on your home page. This would just save a lot of your time and help you stick to the products you really wanted!

Check the original prices

How do you think fooled customers are fooled so easily? Ignorance! To know if what you are buying is really a good offer or not, beware about the prices of the products you are thinking about buying especially electronics. Pre-check the prices and then compare them when you log on to your sale site to get shopping!

Check the warranty

Have you ever bought products during sale time from brick-and-mortar shops to realise they can only be bought without warranty? Do not forget to check if the product has a warranty and also read reviews to get more insights because you don’t want to end up with an iPhone without a warranty.
