Skill Development Programs of Ni-Msme Under ATI Scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt Success Stories of Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programs of ni-msme Under ATI Scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India Sponsored by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, New Delhi Published by National Institute for Micro, Small And Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) (An organisation of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India) Yousufguda, Hyderabad - 500 045 , uccess Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment & Wage Employment , FOREWORD The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium (ni-msme) being an organization of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India has been playing a pro- active role of facilitating, nurturing, promoting the development of entrepreneurship and grwoth of enterprises for the last five decades in our country. ni- msme, being an apex institution of the Ministry of MSME, has entrusted task to enhance the skills of unemployed youth in various trades with follow-up activity and provide them with either self or wage employment under the "Scheme of Assistance to Training Institutes" from 2009-10. The Institute has shared it's experience of 50 years with it's clientele and well-wishers who have given their unstinted support all these years. It has been a journey of immense pleasure and satisfaction to see that our clientele grow and make the MSE sector prosper in our country and fulfill the main objective of providing employment to the unemployed youth. In the pages inside, the Institute would like to present a few success stories to present a glimpse of it's efforts in nurturing entrepreneurship and enterprises in few States. The total credit goes to those youth for their keenness to learn, hard work in enhancing their skills and by establishing micro to small enterprises or employed in better institutions and increased their earnings for a better life. These cases will continue to inspire the future generation of Trainees and the institutions catering to their skill enhancement, for providing them training with the support of our ministry of MSME, Government of India. Many more volumes would follow from ni-msme in future..... (Prof. M. Chandrasekhar Reddy) Director General SELF EMPLOYMENT ESDP In Two Wheeler Maintenance & Repair Name of the Trainee : V. Bagathsing Father Name : Sonusing Village : Mahalaxmiwada, Mandal Adilabad, Dist. Adilabad State : Andhra Pradesh FAMILY BACKGROUND Bagathsing who hails from Mahalaxmi in Adilabad district (AP), was born in an agricultural family where he lived with three of his other family members. His father was an agricultural labour and worked hard to provide for the entire family. Bagath Singh completed his SSC from Adilabad district but considering his family conditions he decided to discontinue his studies and work to help his father in Agriculture. Bagathsing was identified by the Coordinator of the programme, who counseled him. He enrolled in The ESDP in Two Wheeler Maintenance & Repair skills at the training center of Adilabad, which was conducted by National Institute of Micro Small Medium Enterprises [ni-msme] and successfully completed the programme. After Completion of the course ni-msme has issued a certificate. PRESESNT STATUS After completion of the Two Wheeler Maintenance & Repair, he started his own workshop “Sri Bagathsing bike workshop”, he is earning `. 3,500/-per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 1 ESDP In Two Wheeler Maintenance & Repair Name of the Trainee : V. Prakash Father Name : Mohan Village : Bhukthapur Mandal : Adilabad District : Adilabad State : Andhra Pradesh FAMILY BACKGROUND Prakash hails from a remote village in Adilabad district (AP), He was born in an agricultural family were he lived with three of his other family members. His father was an agricultural labour. Prakash completed his SSC from Adilabad district. The Co-Coordinator of the programme identified Prakash and counseled him. He enrolled in The ESDP in Two Wheeler Maintenance & Repair skills the training center of Adilabad, which was conducted by the National Institute of Micro Small Medium Enterprises [ni-msme] and successfully completed the programme. After Completion of the course ni-msme has issued a certificate. PRESESNT STATUS After completion of the programme he started his own workshop, which is located at Adilabad. Presently, he is earning `.3,500/-per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 2 ESDP in FASHION DESIGNING Name of the Trainee : S Anasuya Father Name : Babanna Village : Indiranagar Mandal : Adilabad District : Adilabad State : Andhra Pradesh FAMILY BACKGROUND S. Anasuya is a native of Indiranagar, Adilabad. She belongs to the Backward Class. She Completed S.S.C and got married, her husband is a daily wage earner. Their monthly income was very low. She was looking out for opportunities to increase the family Income. The programme Co-Coordinator of the programme identified Anasuya and counseled her, motivating to join the ESDP in Fashion Designing. The Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes were conducted by the National Institute of Micro Small Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) in Adilabad. She successfully completed the Training and was awarded a certificate after completion of the course. PRESESNT STATUS After completion of the Fashion Designing training, She Started a Tailoring Shop at Indiranagar in Adilabad. Now she is earning `.5,000/-per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 3 ESDP in FASHION DESIGNING Name of the Trainee : T. Archana Father Name : Bhoomanna Village : Bhagyanagar Mandal : Adilabad District : Adilabad State : Andhra Pradesh FAMILY BACKGROUND Archana a native of Bhagyanagar, Adilabad, belongs to Backward Class. Despite a very poor economic background, she Completed S.S.C. and was looking for employment. The programme Co-Coordinator identified Archana and counseled her, motivating her to join the ESDP in Fashion Designing. The Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes were conducted, by National Institute of Micro Small Medium Enterprises(ni-msme) in Adilabad. She successfully completed the Training. After Completion of the course ni-msme awarded her a certificate. PRESESNT STATUS After completion of the Fashion Designing ESDP, she has started her Tailoring Shop at Bhagyanagar in Adilabad. Now she is earning about `.5,000/-per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 4 ESDP in Air Cooler Refrigerator & Water Cooler Repairing Name : Md. Hafeez baba Age : 23 Qualification : SSC Name : Md.Azeez Age : 21 Qualification : Intermediate FAMILY BACKGROUND Md. Hafeez baba and Md.Azeez are cousin brothers hailing from a poor family consisting of eight members in each family. Hafeez's father is a fruit seller, Azeez who is welder, were barely able to support the family. They were forced to stop their studies at SSC and inter respectively and work in different firms to support their families financially and to educate their siblings. They came to know of ni-msme conducting ESDPs, free of cost. They took up Air cooler Refrigerator &Water Cooler Repairing course at Nalgonda. PRESESNT STATUS They decided to start their own business and are able to earn `.25000 to `.27000 per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 5 Electrical Gadgets Repairing Name : K.Sandeep Age : 25 Qualification : Degree Phone : 9032813972 FAMILY BACKGROUND K.Sandeep, is a business oriented person since his schooling and he always wanted to start his own business and provide support to his family and give some employment to unemployed youth. He hails from a poor family consisting of father, mother, and two sisters. His father, who is a Tailor, was barely able to support the family. He came to know about ni-msme training programmes in nalgonda. He enquired about all courses offered by ni-msme. He selected Electrical Gadgets repairing course for training. PRESESNT STATUS He consulted one Trader who deals in Electrical works. He decided to start his own business He is able to earn `.4000 to `.5000 /- per month. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 6 ESDP in Two Wheeler Repairing & Maintenance Name : Ramesh kumar Age : 24 Qualification : SSC Phone no : 9885263163 FAMILY BACKGROUND Mr. Ramesh kumar from Kathalguda of Nalgonda district hails from a poor family consisting of father, mother, a brother and two sisters. He finished his intermediate in Govt.junior College in Nalgonda and was working as an agriculture labor very hard. His father is a farm labourer and could be employed only for a few months in a year. He came to know about Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programmes (ESDPs) being organized by ni-msme, free of cost. He then decided to attend ESDP in Two Wheeler Repairing & Maintenance to aquire technical skills with a plan to set up his own workshop. Ramesh kumar Providing employment for two boys PRESESNT STATUS He started two-wheeler repairing at DVK Road near Chinna Chruch Raoad town Nalgonda with an investment of `.90,000/-. Now he is earning about `.20,000/- per month and also providing employment to two unemployed young men. Success Stories of Candidates Engaged in Self Employment ni-msme 7 ESDP in Motor Winding & Pump Set Repairing Name : K.Kiran Age : 23 Qualification : SSC Phone no : 730648799 FAMILY BACKGROUND K.Kiran was born in a rustic village in nalgonda, being in a remote area , had no educational facilities beyond a primary school . In the absence of availability and accessibility, most of the children were engaged in odd jobs after completing their studies in the villages. If they wanted to continue the studies, they had to travel a distance of approximately twenty kilometers to attend the nearest secondary school. Kiran hailed from a poor family consisting of father, mother, a brother and a sister. His father, who is a daily wage labourer, was barely able to support the family. Both his father and mother had worked hard to bring up and educate them. He finished his SSC working as an Agriculture Labour.

    Channaka-Korata (Rudha) Barrage on Lower Penganga River, Adilabad Comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment district of Telangana State and Environmental Management Plan EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.0 Introduction The mandate for the planning, design, implementation of the irrigation projects rests with the I&CAD Department, Ministry of Irrigation, Government of Telangana. The Proponent for the proposed “Channaka-Korata barrage” on River Lower Penganga is “Irrigation & Command Area Development (I&CAD)” Department, Government of Telangana State. The main objective of I &CAD is creation and maintaining the irrigation potential of the State and the I&CAD shall make all efforts to plan, develop, conserve, utilize and manage the available water resources, in a judicious, equitable and sustainable manner. I&CAD has taken up the proposed Channaka-Korata barrage project is an interstate irrigation project to benefit the drought prone ayacut of uplands of the region in Adilabad District, Telangana State. The proposed Channaka – Korata (Rudha) barrage is a joint project between the States of Maharashtra and Telangana state on River Penganga and it is independent of the joint Lower Penganga Project, envisages construction of a barrage across River Penganga on down stream of Lower Penganga Project to irrigate an ayacut of 6680.16 ha (5465.58 ha in Telangana and 1214.58 ha for Maharashtra). Apart from the several project benefits, the Irrigation projects also effect adversely on the neighboring Environment of the proposed project. Hence these activities required to be well planned and should consider the environmental impacts. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a technique which is necessary for identification, quantification and assessment of potential environmental impacts.

    FIELD VIST REPORT BY CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION TEAM To MATHADIVAGU PROJECT on 27-04-2016 TELANGANA State PROJECT BRIEF - The Mathadivagu Medium Irrigation Project is envisaged across Mathadivagu, a tributary of the river Godavari located near Waddadi village in Tamsi Mandal in Adilabad District of Telangana state. - The project consists of Earth Dam, Gated Spillway, Head Regulator and Canal System to cover CCA of 3,440 ha. - The project was cleared in the 86th meeting of Technical Advisory Committee held on 08.06.2006 - The project was approved by Planning Commission, Government of India vide letter No.20 (1)/2006-WR dated 27.06.2006 for an estimated cost of Rs.50.40 cr at 2004-05 price level. THE VISIT REPORT The project is included in the Priority list –I for the projects programmed for completion by State Government and is scheduled for completion by FY 2016-17. The project visit was undertaken on 27-04-2016 to ascertain the various aspects for completion of the project. A) PROJECT COMPONENTS The following are the components of the Project included under AIBP and the progress: (i) Formation of 2.20 km long earth bund (ii) Construction of 63.25 m long Ogee Spillway and Left Flank Regulator, (iii) Construction of 13.00 km long Left Main Canal with CD&CM structures including lining (iv) Construction of Distributaries, Minors and Structures and Field Channels. Tamsi village is a tribal village and drought area with very less rainfall. Total project area is 4566 Hac, Project Cost Rs. 547.92 Lakhs. The sanctioned area of Gunjala micro watershed is 710 Hac with a outlay of Rs. 85.20 Lakhs. Out of which the total expenditure incurred was Rs.39.12 Lakhs and constructed structures were LBS, RFDs, PTs, CDs and Plantation. Over two year period, it was observed that, 2 years of period the ground water has been improved in this village and three Bore wells are drilled and they are successful, even during peak summer they could meet their day today activities. The farmer Jadhav Uttam has an additional income of Rs. 17600 per Acre in cotton and Rs. 6300 per Acre in Red Gram.     SUCCESS STORIES UNDER WATERSHED DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT OF PRADHAN MANTRA KRISHI SINCHAYEE YOJANA (WDC-PMKSY) ERSTWHILE INTEGRATED WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME (IWMP) While the project duration of WDC-PMKSY/IWMP project varies from 4-7 years and as a result the WDC-PMKSY/IWMP projects are yet to be completed, some impacts are now visible in many parts of the country. The construction of water harvesting structures under IWMP has helped in improving the water availability and incomes to the farmers living in the project areas. Some of the successful interventions under WDC-PMKSY/IWMP which have impacted the livelihoods of rural poor and contributed in enhancing their incomes are given in the subsequent paragraphs. Construction of Soil and Water Conservation Structures in Gunjala village of Adilabad district, Telangana Gunjala, a tribal village of Tamsi Mandal in Adilabad district of Telangana ( Gunjala micro watershed - IWMP-I /2009-10) had been suffering from three major problems (i) very low ground water table (below 300-400 ft.),(ii) unavailability of reliable natural water source and (iii) absence of any man made water harvesting structures. To address these problems, water retaining structures like loose boulder structures (97 nos), rock field dams (31 nos), percolation tanks (2 nos) and check dams (3 nos.) were constructed with an expenditure of Rs.39.12 lakhs under IWMP project. The Intervention improved water harvesting potential of the watershed, and increased productivity of the land. The harvested water was used for supplementing irrigation. There was significant increase in the productivity of cotton (from 6.5 Q/acre to 10 Q/acre) and redgram (from 1.4 Q/acre to 3 Q/acre).
