Help us welcome one of our featured guests, Greg Ayres! Greg Ayres has been blasting his way through 2019! He was thrilled to make his second appearance in the DragonBall universe in DragonBall Super as Frost, and equally excited blasting bugs as Geo in Sony Pictures’s Starship Troopers : Traitor of Mars. Some other recent roles include Jiro in Concrete Revolution, Sho Utsumi in SSSSGridman, Ryuuou Edogawa in Doreiku, Koji Koda in My Hero Academia, Yabase in the upcoming dub of Hitorijime My Hero, and even makes an appearance as Popuko in Pop Team Epic. He was also given the opportunity to reprise one of his favorite roles as Son Goku in Saiyuki Reload Blast. With over 290 credits to his name, he has managed to play a variety of characters that are almost as colorful as his hair. Some reccent roles include Nagisa Haruki in Free, and Free Eternal summer, MonoKuma in Danganronpa, Clear in Dramatical Murder, and Doug in Gangsta, Yu Nishinoya in Haikyu, Zenji Marui in Food Wars, Ganta Igarashi in Deadman Wonderland, Heihachi Hayashida in Samurai 7, and Kouichis Sakakibara in Another. Some of his all-time favorite roles include Son Goku in Saiyuki, Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran High School Host Club, Youhei Sunohara in Clannad, Yuki in The Wallflower, Leo in Ghost Stories, Satoshi Hiwatari in DNAngel, Kaworu Nagisa in the Director’s Cut of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tomoki Sakurai in Heaven’s Lost Property, and Negi Springfield in Negima. When he’s not in a booth with headphones on, you can usually find him sporting headphones behind “the decks” at many a music event. A veteran nightclub DJ of many years, he has jumped at the opportunity to play music and organize late night dances at many of the conventions he attends. Greg is also a member of Project BECK, who perform music from the anime Beck Mongolian Chop Squad, and has had a blast reliving the music from that show with his friends. Thrilled to be able to share his love of music with anyone willing to listen - from packed rooms at anime conventions, to the legendary stage of The Knitting Factory (NYC), he’s always ready to make a little noise. ^ 6 Guests of Honor MICHAEL SINTERNIKLAAS Michael Sinterniklaas is a veteran of the anime industry and has worked as a director, actor, voice actor, script writer, sound designer, editor, engineer, mixer and producer. In 1999, Michael founded NYAV Post, a bicoastal recording studio that has worked on over 500 films, series, video games and anime titles. As a voice actor Michael has voiced countless roles in anime and is currently Jyushimatsu in the Osomatsu Brothers and Nathaniel in Miraculous Ladybug. Other credits include Taki (Your Name), Kenji (Summer Wars), Kia (Lu Over The Wall), Animus (Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry), Dagger (Black Butler: Book of Circus), Netherlands (Hetalia), Angelo (Gundam Unicorn) Xellos (Slayers Revolution and Evolution-R), Ivan Karelin/Origami Cyclone (Tiger and Bunny), Dark Magician and Mahad (YuGiOh), Sarutobi Sasuke (Sengoku Basara), Sora and Utakata (Naruto), Nnoitra, Luppi, Ikkaku, Wonderweiss (Bleach), Age (Patema Inverted), Takeru (FREEDOM), POP Team Epic,Joshua, Kennedy, Ross, Elijah and Seviper (Pokémon), Lucemon (Digimon). But that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Outside of anime, he is also well known as the voice of Dean Venture in The Venture Bros, Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) Mikey Simon (Kappa Mikey) and even Funshine in The Care Bears. He has also appeared in video games such as Final Fantasy XIII, Excom, GTA V, the Lego Movie Game, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Tales of Berseria and is the lead Yew Geneolgia in Bravley Second and to name a few. As a director, Michael has worked on many anime, American series and feature releases. Anime include: FLCL Alternative/Progressive, MFKZ, Cannon Busters, Ninja Batman, Your Name, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Berserk, Magic Users Club, Ah! My Goddess, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Slayers Revolution, Slayers Evolution-R, and Giant Robo, and the video game release of Just Cause 3. He’s also directed several non-anime series and features including Phantom Boy, Peter Rabbit, Super Friends, Robotomy, Bird Boy, and the Oscar nominated movies A Cat in Paris, Ernest and Celestine, My Life As a Zucchini and this years Oscar and Golden Globe nominated Mirai ^ 7 Guests of Honor RIKKI SIMONS Rikki Simons (AKA Rosearik Rikki Simons) is a voice actor, writer, and artist. He is most famous for being the voice GIR and Bloaty on Invader ZIM. He also plays many characters on Mighty Magiswords. As a writer he is known for the science fiction and fantasy novel Hitherto a Lion. Original illustrated books and comics that he created with Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons include Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check!, Ranklechick and His Three Legged Cat, ShutterBox, and The Trinkkits. He was also once a background painter in animation, on Invader ZIM and the Jackie Chan Adventures. The comics and books he creates with Tavisha can be read and purchased at www.tavicat.com. TAVISHA WOLFGARTH-SIMONS Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons is a Japanese and German American artist who has spent nearly three decades drawing and publishing manga-influenced comics. Tavisha’s comics and illustrations have been published by Nickelodeon, Tokyopop, Digital Manga, Andrews McMeel Universal, and SLG Publishing, among many others. NINTENDREW Nintendrew is a retro game collector and full- time YouTuber. His videos cover a variety of topics surrounding Nintendo and the gaming industry in general, including product reviews, retrospectives, and how-to/DIY projects. ^ 8 Guests of Honor STUDIO CAPSULE Studio Capsule is an independent studio that has created a line of doujinshi’s, art books, animated shorts, logos and other expanding art projects. Studio Capsule has been featured in countless magazines, including Newtype. Studio Capsule has worked for companies like PlayStation Magazine, Marvel, and Hasbro to name a few.
