Manx schools are not subject to inspection by Ofsted. However, there is a process of School Self Review and Evaluation (SSRE). This is based on the question ‘how well does the school know itself?’ The validation team consists of the Head Teacher, a visiting Head Teacher, a member of the Department of Education and Children and an external consultant, specialising in school improvement.
