  • Columbine Lacrosse Parent and Player Handbook 2018 FINAL
Parent & Player Handbook 2018 - 2019 Welcome! I am extremely excited for my second year with the program. Last year was a great season on the field for all levels and I learned a lot about how to help run the program from an admin standpoint. While there hasn’t been a lot of communication coming from me or the board over the summer, we have been working diligently to make improvements in terms of fundraising and overall streamlining things for the staff, players, and families. Our goal for this year is to streamline and simplify without sacrificing the quality of experience for the players and families and while maintaining equity and simplicity of payments and costs. Another priority for us was to be able to come to the parents and players at the beginning of the year and provide a clear and accurate financial and opportunity roadmap for the entire offseason and season so that families can prepare, plan, and make choices that best work for them. Again, I have been working a lot with the board on these items and we are all really excited about the improvements. – Coach Sulzbacher Coaches Henry is entering his second year as head coach. Prior to arriving at Columbine, he has been an assistant coach at Trinity-Pawling (NY), Fairfax High School (VA), Legend High School, and, most recently, Denver East. Henry has also coached with and continues to coach with the DoCo Devils Lacrosse club. Henry grew up in Seattle and headed to Division III Ohio Wesleyan University. After a year as a defenseman at OWU, he transferred to play at the University of Montana where he was a 3x 1st Team All-Conference player.

  • Sponsorship Sheet
Sponsor sheet Sponsor Levels & Details - Alberta Lacrosse Association [email protected] +1 (780) 464-1861 About The Minto Cup is Canada’s Junior A National Lacrosse Championship, a premier sporting event nationwide. This year’s Minto Cup is being hosted by the Alberta Lacrosse Association, the Calgary Mountaineers Junior A Lacrosse Club, and the Okotoks Raiders Junior A Lacrosse Club. This year's championship will take place from August 16th-26th, 2018. The Minto Cup is awarded annually to the champion junior men’s box lacrosse team of Canada. In 1901 the Governor-General, Lord Minto donated the cup. Originally restricted to amateurs, within three years the first under-the-table professional teams were already competing for it. After 1904, with efforts to keep the professionals out of competition proving to be futile, it became open to all challengers. Originally, the competition was between all-star provincial teams formed by adding players to the provincial champion. In 1960 this practice was abandoned, and the trophy has since been competed for by the Junior A provincial champions of British Columbia of the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League, Ontario of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League and recently Alberta, of the RMLL. Your sponsorship will help develop the game of lacrosse throughout Alberta by providing opportunities and eliminating barriers for young Albertan’s to participate in lacrosse. In addition, your brand will be highly visible to a national audience, as well as individuals within local communities. This is a great opportunity to build and strengthen your company with dedicated lacrosse enthusiasts.

  • The Canadian Lacrosse Association’S Jr
An exciting highlight of the upcoming 2015 Calgary lacrosse season will be the Founders Cup - the Canadian Lacrosse Association’s Jr. B. National Championship, being hosted by the Calgary Mountaineers Jr. B. Lacrosse Club. This is the first time this prestigious National Championship has been hosted in Southern Alberta. The games will be played at the Max Bell Arena from August 17-23, 2015. We want to show the rest of Canada that special brand of Western Hospitality that has made Calgary famous and we need YOUR help to do it. The Hosting Committee is looking for approximately 120 lacrosse-loving ambassadors to help with a variety of tasks. There is something for everyone who wants to get involved. Volunteer roles include, for example, working at the door or silent auction table, selling 50/50 tickets or tournament merchandise, providing on site information or security services, assisting teams in their dressing rooms, being involved in game operations and logistics or helping with various statistics, website, social media and other administrative roles. We are looking for volunteers who are prepared to commit to a minimum of 3-4 shifts during the week, with each shift being between 4 and 8 hours depending upon the role. If you’re interested in spending some quality fun time to help make this event a HUGE success then send us an email at [email protected] or call, John Tyrrell at 403-461-4767, to let us know you’re interested. You will be contacted in the early Spring once the volunteer positions and schedules have been finalized so we can find a spot that works for you.
