RULES 1. Exhibits must arrive in time to be penned not later than 9 a.m. on the day of the Show, and all exhibits must be the property of the Exhibitor in whose name they are entered at the time of entry. 2. The decision of the Judge shall be final in all cases, except where a misrepresentation is discovered, the Committee deciding. 3. The Judges shall be empowered to withhold any prizes if the exhibits do not possess sufficient merit. 4. Exhibitors may state the selling price of their exhibits. 10 per cent will be deducted from all sales. 5. The committee will be most anxious for the care of all stock, but it must be clearly understood that the committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any exhibit and watering. 6. Exhibits will be penned only by the committee elected for that purpose. 7. All exhibits must be sent to the Poultry Committee. 8. Any person lodging a protest against any exhibit must pay a fee of £1 to the Poultry Secretary. If the protest is valid, the fee will be refunded. All protests must be put in writing. 9. No person shall be allowed to handle any exhibit during the time of show. Any person found doing so will hold himself liable to expulsion from the show. 10. Birds may be penned after 6.30 p.m. on Sunday. 11. The Committee reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate any classes with insufficient entries. 12. No exhibits shall be allowed to be removed from the show until 6.00 p.m. unless by permission. 13. All rings, except permanent young birds rings, must be removed by the exhibitor. 14. The winners of all Cups shall sign a guarantee for safe keeping of all Cups, and return same one clear month previous to the following year’s Show to the Poultry Secretary. 15. All entries must be made to the Poultry Secretary not later than WEDNESDAY, 17th JUNE, 2018. 16. The Association reserves the right to publish Names and Addresses of all exhibitors in any Competitive Competition. 17. Under Poultry Club Rules. 18. Poultry Club Representative – Mr A Marment. 19. Please provide a clean box for the birds in the selling class. Pen No’s will be sent prior to the show. 20. Please ensure all boxes etc. are cleaned before and after the show.

Our policy is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all our employees, volunteers and the general public, and to provide such information, training and supervision as they need for this purpose. We also accept our responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities. The Association encourages family participation and therefore acknowledges the increased risks to young and/or inexperienced volunteers. The Board of Trustees acknowledge that Health and Safety responsibilities within the Association are of equal importance as other priorities. Although the Board of Trustees accept responsibility for the implementation of this policy, it relies on individual employees/volunteers to accept their own duty and responsibility to themselves, fellow workers and others who might be injured/affected by their acts or omissions. The allocation of duties for safety matters and the particular arrangements that we will make to implement the policy are set out below. The policy will be kept up to date, particularly if the Association’s activities change in nature and size. To ensure this, the policy and the way in which it has operated will be monitored and reviewed every year or more frequently if required.

SHOW SECURITY

Limited security cover by the Association’s official security contractor will be provided nightly between 7.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. from Monday before the Show and then continuously from 2.00 p.m. on the Sunday until 7 a.m. on the Tuesday after the Show. You must be aware that the Showground is large, with multiple entrances and that the security officials cannot be in all areas at all times. The Association will not be responsible for the safe custody of any article brought for exhibition, nor will they be answerable for any loss or damage that may occur to any article.
