Promotions Wednesday, September 9, 2020 New ® Campaign Begins September 17 The WHOPPER® will soon feature new pickles and mayonnaise that are in compliance with BKC’s Feel Good About the Food initiative, free of any colors, flavors, or preservatives from artificial sources. To promote the changes, BKC will launch the WHOPPER® and Nothing but the WHOPPER® campaign on Thursday, Sept. 17. Distribution centers (DCs) are now transitioning to the new pickles and mayonnaise and are beginning to substitute orders with the new items. RSI will not manage orders for the two new items. Mayo: There are no in-restaurant procedural changes and no impact on case pack size. Pickles: Upon receipt at the restaurant, the new pickles must be held refrigerated at all times when not on the sandwich production board. Please note that pickles are now packed with a depressor inside the bucket to maintain the pickles submerged during shipping. Once the bucket is opened, the depressor should be discarded.
