DSWD DROMIC Report #4 on the Social Disorganization in as of 15 February 2019, 4PM

SUMMARY

On 16 January 2019, an encounter occurred between government forces and rebel groups along the boundaries of Surigao del Sur and and in Municipalities of Lianga and Tago, Surigao del Sur last 24 January 2019. Numerous families were displaced due to these incidents.

1. Status of Affected Families/ Persons

205 families or 1,058 persons were affected by the social disorganization in Lianga and Tago, Surigao del Sur. (see Table 1).

DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of 15 February 2019 DSWD-DRMB is continuously monitoring and coordinating with DSWD-FO CARAGA for significant disaster response operation updates.

DSWD-FO CARAGA

DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The Field Office is ready to provide augmentation support to the affected families 11 February 2019 after the release of the assistance to be provided by the PLGU of Surigao del Sur. ● DSWD-FO CARAGA through the Disaster Response Management Division is in close coordination with the LSWDO and LDRRMO for the provision of assistance to the IDPs of Lianga and Tago, Surigao del Sur. 01 February 2019 ● BLGU of Diatagon provided food assistance consisting of 3 kls. rice, 2 tins sardines and 2 tins beef loaf to each families. ● LGU will be providing food assistance to the families on the following week.

***** The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of the DSWD-DRMB continues to closely coordinate with concerned DSWD-FO CARAGA for significant disaster response updates.
