We will value our guests, employees, and community through outstanding racing, gaming, and entertainment that exceeds expectations. Dear friends of ,

Thank you for your support of Prairie Meadows and for taking a few moments to read our 2017 Annual Report. As I reflect on this past year, I feel a sense of pride for everything Prairie Meadows accomplished for Central in 2017.

As a not-for-profit organization, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of those living in Central Iowa. When Prairie Meadows began operations in 1989 as a private/public partnership with Polk County, the company envisioned a long-term goal of promoting economic development, jobs, agriculture, and tourism for the state of Iowa. Year after year, we work toward this goal, and 2017 was no different.

I am pleased to announce that we had a record-breaking year in giving. From supporting the arts to funding numerous park programs to helping fight hunger in Polk County, Prairie Meadows continued our commitment to revitalizing and strengthening the Greater Des Moines area. Best of all, the projects that we are so proud to support and fund will serve our communities for many years to come.

Our dedicated team at Prairie Meadows has come together to build something unique – a culture of compassion, collaboration, and commitment. I am very grateful to work for this company, and with such talented people. As wonderful as this year has been, there is GARY PALMER much more we plan to do in the future for our guests, employees, and communities. President/CEO We are excited to continue moving forward together. Dear friends of Prairie Meadows,
