Dear Supporters of FACE Winter 2013

Welcome to our second newsletter. Since our first newsletter, last autumn there have been some important developments that we thought you would want to know about, so here goes…

Bishop Grant has wheels In 2012 FACE made a grant of £20,000 to help with the running costs of the Episcopal Area, in particular to assist with the purchase of a new vehicle for Bishop Grant and Doctor Wendy. We were delighted to learn, therefore, that a Toyota Landcruiser has been bought and is being put to good use as Bishop Grant visits Anglican churches around the Gambella region. Bishop Grant has already visited mission centres in Lare, Gambella, Pinyidu, Nininyang and Itang. He intends to visit all the mission centres by April. Other developments include exploring the potential for greater engagement with the Somali communities in Ethiopia and possible joint work with the Kenyan Diocese of Marsabit in Oromia region in southern Ethiopia. Bishop Grant is also hoping to visit and in the near future. You can follow developments through Bishop Grant and Doctor Wendy’s blog at www.grantandwendy.com. Bishop Grant also intends to visit the UK in May where he will be the special guest at the Annual General Meeting of the Egypt Diocesan Association. We, no doubt like many of you, are looking forward to meeting him and hearing more about his exciting plans for the Episcopal Area. The choir at St Barnabas, Gambella
