The House Committee on Rules, to whom were referred the Resolutions (filed by Messrs. Bulger of , Condon of Boston and Tynan of Boston) congratulating Raymond Flynn on being voted the most valuable player in the National Invitation Basket- ball Tournament (House, No. 3263), report that the same ought to be adopted.

Resolutions congratulating Raymond flynn on being voted THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER IN THE NATIONAL INVITATION BASKET- BALL TOURNAMENT.

Whereas, On March 23, Raymond Flynn, a resident of and captain of the basketball team, was namea the most valuable player of the National Invitation Basketball Tournament held in Madison Square Garden; and Whereas, During the basketball season and the tournament Raymond Flynn displayed outstanding leadership, ability and a keen knowledge of this highly competitive sport; and Whereas, The ability, leadership and sportsmanship of Raymond Flynn contributed greatly to the victories of Providence College; and Whereas, Raymond Flynn, a dean’s list student, by his outstand- ing performance has brought honor and fame to Providence College, the city of Boston and the Commonwealth; therefore be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives extends its sincere congratulations to Raymond Flynn on being voted the most valuable player in the National Invitation Basket- ball Tournament and for his other outstanding accomplishments; and be it further Resolved, That copies of these resolutions be sent by the Secretary of the Commonwealth to Raymond Flynn and to Providence College.
