Head), Anthony Boone ABOUT THE TIGERS The Jackson State University Tigers have opened the 2007-08 season with a five game losing streak, falling to Baylor (Waco, TX), Stephen F. Austin (Nacogdoches, TX), BYU (Provo, UT – 1st round of Las Vegas Invitational), Louisville (Louisville, KY – 2nd round of Las Vegas Invitational) and Hartford. LAST GAME: Jackson State dropped its fifth game of the season, falling 73-57 in the third game of the Las Vegas Invitational played at the Orleans. Grant Maxey led JSU with 14 points and three rebounds. Catraiva Givens scored 13 points and grabbed three rebounds and Darrion Griffin finished with 10 points and five boards. For the game JSU shot 40 percent from the field (21-52), 27 percent in three-pointers (6-22) and 69 percent from the free throw line (9-13).
