Monica Ros School is excited to offer six weeks of Summer Camp to all children in the community who will be four by the end of the calendar year, up through those entering 4th grade this fall. Campers will be separated by age: preschoolers and children entering kindergarten in one group, and those students in or entering gradeschool in another, to allow for the most secure and comfortable range of exploration for campers. “IMAGINATION NATION” First Week: June 20 – June24 We kick off Summer Camp with IMAGINATION NATION; campers will create their idea of a perfect land to call their own. Older campers will read the classic My Father’s Dragon and use it for inspiration to draw maps of secret islands, and create fantastic creatures that live in their land. They will live in the book along with the main character: playing pranks on lions, enjoying tangerines, eavesdropping on mice, swimming in the rhino’s weeping pool, and sailing the famous Monica Ros pirate ship. Younger campers will explore the idea of the Monica Ros campus as their own magical nation....they will hunt treasure inside and out, create and follow maps, build forts, and decorate the school with sidewalk chalk. As in all weeks of Monica Ros Summer Camp there is tons of water play, take-home crafts, and a frozen treat each day. “USA” First Week: June 27 – July 1 Don't miss this week celebrating all things American.
