Section 113 of the Mississippi Constitution states, "The auditor shall, within si'(ty days after the adjournment of the legislature, prepare and publish a full statement ofall money expended at such sessions, specifying the items and amount of each item, and to whom, andfor what paid; and he shall also publish the amounts ofall appropriations." The following compliance report is prepared by the Department of Finance and Administration in accordance with Section 7-7-45, Mississippi Code Annotated (1972) and released by the State Auditor. Any specific questions regarding the report would best be directed to the Department of Finance and Administration. During the 2015 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature, the Fiscal Year 2016 appropriations made by the Legislature were $5,709,443,322 from the General Fund, $15,656,687,671 from various special funds and an additional $233,702,188 for funds managed outside the State Treasury. During the Regular Session, the Legislature re-appropriated $34,415,000 from the General Fund and $125,802,093 from various special funds of Fiscal Year 2015, and also made $500,000 from the General Fund, and $370,059,504 of additional appropriations for Fiscal Year 2015 from special funds. This report reflects Legislative expenses of $20,323, 144.78 for the period beginning April 7, 2014 through April 5, 2015.
