It started as an alliance of dairy producers in 2008 which was transformed into a federation of cooperatives in 2010 and started operating a dairy processing plant established with the support of the Land O Lakes Foundation in partnership with the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. In 2006, the Land O Lakes Foundation aside from constructing a dairy processing plant also distributed about 300 dairy cattle animals as the sources of raw milk and in order to sustain the operation of the plant. The plant was operated with the purpose of promoting nutrition and supplying milk for the feeding program of the government and other NGOs. -

PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY INVITATION TO BID FOR THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND OFFSHORE INSTALLATION OF AIDS TO MARINE NAVIGATION AT PORTS OF PASACAO, PIO DURAN, TABACO CITY, LEGAZPI CITY, BULAN, MATNOG, SAN ANDRES AND VIRAC, BICOL CLUSTERED PROJECT The Philippine Ports Authority, through the Corporate Budget of the Authority for CY 2021, intends to apply the sum of P448,583,192.58 being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for the PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND OFFSHORE INSTALLATION OF AIDS TO MARINE NAVIGATION AT PORTS OF PASACAO, PIO DURAN, TABACO CITY, LEGAZPI CITY, BULAN, MATNOG, SAN ANDRES AND VIRAC, BICOL CLUSTERED PROJECT, CAMARINES SUR, ALBAY; SORSOGON AND CATANDUANES PROVINCE (LFP BCL NO. 009-2021). Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening. The Philippine Ports Authority now invites bids for the above Procurement Project. Completion of the Works is required in One Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days from the receipt by the successful bidder of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders should have completed, within five (5) years from the date of submission and receipt of bids, a contract similar to the Project. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly, in Section II (Instructions to Bidders). Overview of organisation & assignment The Central Bicol University of Agriculture has an extension campus in Pasacao, which focuses on veterinary, agricultural and biology related disciplines as well as education degrees. It is headed by a campus chairman under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Institute of Development Education. At present, the campus has a total of 16 faculty members, three casual employees performing clerical and related functions and 16 on-the-job trainees performing different functions, six security guards, two drivers for two government vehicles, one mechanic, two utility electricians, one carpenter and four farm workers. Overview of the program: CBSUA Pasacao Extension Campus is commencing a disaster preparedness program that will provide technical education and training to communities and students. Part of this program is to conduct research and assessment of the hazard areas of the town of Pasacao. Overview of the assignment: The AVID volunteer will provide technical assistance on climate change impact, adaptation and mitigation strategies and in reducing the risks that the community faces through natural disasters. -
