WEDNESDAY, JULY 16: Green Welcome House Party – The DC Statehood Green Party's Ward 1 Organization (1-Club) will host a house party at La Orilla from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM to welcome out-of-state Greens arriving for the Green Party Annual Meeting. THURSDAY, JULY 17: Welcome Happy Hour—The DC Statehood Green Party invites you to a special happy hour to welcome U.S. Green Party delegates from across the nation. This event will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the 18th Street Lounge, 1212 18th Street, NW, Washington, DC (two blocks from Mayflower Hotel). FRIDAY, JULY 18: Women in Black DC Weekly Peace Vigil—The awarded UN Millennium Peace group and well-known international peace movement, Women in Black, invites you to join them at their Friday weekly peace vigil at Farragut Square (17th and K Streets, NW, Washington, DC, one block away from Mayflower Hotel) from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This week, Women in Black members will be joined by members of Jews for Peace in Palestine and Israel. All Green Party members are invited to attend. This vigil is particularly important because Women in Black is adopting a "new look," displaying enlarged photographs of children who died as a result of violence. There will also be a large picture Rachel Corrie, a US resident who was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer as she stood in front of a Palestinian home that was about to be destroyed. These photos, as well as the banner, will be a dramatic statement for peace, and you won't want to miss it.

SATURDAY, JULY 19: Green Party Presidential Candidate Reception/Fundraiser—Please join the Green Party of the United States for an evening with potential Green candidates for the 2004 Presidency in the Chinese Room of the Mayflower Hotel (1127 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC) from 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM. All potential 2004 presidential candidates have been invited to speak: David Cobb, Paul Glover, Cynthia McKinney, Carol Miller, , and Lorna Salzman. Come and mingle with these prominent Green candidates and the elected officials of the U.S. Green Party from around the nation. Sliding Scale Admission: $5 to $50, cash bar.
